My training is in Electrical & Computer Engineering (master's degree), and that's the field I work in. However, I have many other skills and talents. I love to windsurf, have taken numerous photography classes (currently Advanced Color Photography), and play the Indian bamboo flute, the bansuri.
I also volunteer in public safety. During college, I was a volunteer EMT and volunteer firefighter in Pennsylvania. Currently, I am training to be a reserve police officer in California, and will be contributing my time to improving the safety of San Francisco.
I have traveled all over the world, for both work and pleasure. In fact as I write this, I'm sitting in the lobby of the Germir Palas hotel in Istanbul, Turkey (recommended). I travel frequently to Helsinki, where my headquarters is, and to Buenos Aires, where I own an apartment. I have also been all over Europe and lived in Switzerland as a summer intern, though my experience in Asia is limited to India, Japan, and S. Korea.
Going out dancing (or just a drink) with friends is one of my favorite activities, and I have friends of all ages, social classes, interests, and tastes.
Although I just turned 30, my mother gave me a card that says something to the effect of, "You get older every year..but you can stay immature indefinitely." I hope I can always keep a spirit of youthful fascination and playfulness.
