About Trace_Malin
|
I'm a 36 year-old SCUBA diving instructor currently living in the Poconos in PA, but I'm seeking employment opportunities anywhere in the world once again. I began snorkeling avidly as a child and started SCUBA training at age 13. I became an instructor at age 21 in 1989. I have been fortunate to have worked in the recreational diving industry and as a lifeguard since graduating with an English degree from Marywood University in 1993. I discovered a world class talent for freediving and I became an instructor trainer in the sport. My opinions on gear and diving practices have changed greatly after leaving behind recreational diving for the technical side. Training with GUE, NACD and TDI has given me skills, abilities and an understanding of gear configurations and teamwork most SCUBA instructors and divemasters do not possess. To sum it up, tech and cave diving have become "DIR" to my heart. I credit Ted Pfirrmann for that phrase! Good one, Ted.
