As a firearms instructor most of the shooting products I review I use on a regular basis. I've learned what works and what doesn't and I share that info in my reviews.
I'm also a recent first-time homeowner so as I discover what I need to know to maintain and upgrade my home I'm reviewing those products as well.
My wife and I both are avid readers and often suggest books to each other. The books I review here are the ones I'd recommend to a friend *or* books so horridly bad that they should be avoided at all costs.
My tastes run towards military history, archeology and anthropology, SF/fantasy, mysteries and thrillers.
In the past I've been a pizza cook and waiter, emergency room clerk, radio reporter and announcer, newspaper reporter, and magazine staff writer.
I love knowing how things *really* work and learning behind-the-scenes info.
