About truegenius

I'm originally from Chicago and hold a Bachelor of Science degree from The University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have worked in both mainframe and client-server environments and have worked with all the versions of Microsoft Windows from 3.1 all the way to today's XP. My favorite software development environment is Visual Basic 6. When I'm not working with computers I'm playing with them, either surfing the 'Net, creating web sites, or keeping in touch with friends. I'm also into photography and astrology.
When it comes to shopping for electronics or appliances I'm very picky. Often times I'll visit at least three retailers before making a selection, but not always - if I trust a brand, then it's a matter of choosing the right model. When I write a review, you can feel comfortable that I'm not just looking at the basics of a product, but also how well it's designed for long-term use, and how well it's likely to age - in short, will you get your money's worth. Nothing beats great design, and a well-designed product will last until you're ready to dump it.
