I am a 45 year old family man. In addition to my wife of 13 years I have two children ages 9 and 7. Our lives revolve around my son's hockey and daughter's brownies and figure skating. In my free time I enjoy watching sports and surfing the Net.
I don't profess to be a professional writer or reviewer. Just a guy trying to give a honest opinion. I hope some of what I have to say is of interest or help.
I do not rate articles according to whether I agree with your opinion on a specific product or subject. I respect the fact that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, I will rate your article based upon the following criteria.
Highly Recommended: This rating is reserved for the best. These reviews must be well written and presented. While I may not agree with your opinion the review must present information that will help people make good, intelligent decisions.
Recommended: A recommended rating should not be considered a bad rating. These reviews present good information but lack something in presentation. Reasons for these ratings may be spelling and punctuation errors.
Somewhat Recommended: Generally this rating will be used when the review presents some relevant information but the overall review is lacking. Articles that were obviously put together quickly with little thought and have not been edited will receive this rating. Abusive language in a well-written article will receive this rating. If I feel the reason for this rating is not obvious to the writer I will leave a comment.
Not Recommended: This is a rating that I will use if the article has been written in any abusive manner. This may include inappropriate language, repetitive wording, slurs aimed at other people or publishing large numbers of articles under the wrong categories. If you abuse the system you will earn this rating. If you receive this rating I think you know why. I will leave a comment for this rating. I always use this rating if I report abuse.
Distrust List: I do use my distrust list. If you publish garbage and abuse the system you will make my list. It is much easier to get on the list than get off. Periodically I do review the works of my distrust list; I have yet to remove anyone.
I do not believe in retaliatory ratings. I will rate your opinions as I see fit. If I report the article for abuse I will leave you a comment. If that does not please you I am sorry. If you rate me poorly because of it, I'm sorry. I will not play that game. Your next rating will continue to be based on the content of the article.
I will read and rate any and all categories. I do not feel I need to be an expert to rate the quality of the review. I welcome any and all comments that are posted to my articles and look forward to reading many more of your articles.
