I'm a 32 year old at-home mom to a beautiful six-year-old daughter and a 9-month-old baby boy. Our perfect daughter has some special educational needs which have spurred me to attempt to become the best advocate possible for her, and to keep other parents appraised of their rights in their child's educational process -- not to mention their child's rights. Things are going fairly smoothly now that the school has accepted we aren't going anywhere. Remember, rights are not favors!
Our daughter is absolutely delightful. She has a sensitivity that is unmatched. She enjoys ballet and recently has become a Daisy (Girl Scout). Our son, as you must suspect, is also perfect. He is sleeping 10-11 hours straight, rolling over, laughing, smiling, and commenting on the world with an all inclusive "un-gi". He has just started sitting up for brief snatches of time.
When I am not busy with special education related work, or Girl Scout related work, or baby related work, or husband related work, I actually do some work that I get paid for. Novel, but true.
