I have always enjoyed music, ever since I was little. I used to unspool my dad's reel to reel tapes of music. Over time, I was always into all kinds of music. From musicals to dance to country....I enjoyed it all! Not much has changed for me...my collection spans from Hawaiian (went to elementary school and college there...even learned how to do polynesian dancing!), techno, latin, dance, country (lived in AZ, CA and VA), top 40, rock, musicals, classical (saw many a ballet at the Met with my grandma) and soundtracks. I am sure there's more I am forgetting but that gives you an idea of how bad my addiction is!=) On a personal level, I am a singer...tried piano and liked it but found singing more satisfying...tried the violin but my poor little bridge kept popping out of my instrument no matter how many different ones I tried...currently I am teaching myself acoustic guitar. I hope to eventually learn the ukelele and dobro. By day however, I work as an engineer even though I studied psychology...it's all very strange but works for me and is consistent with the craziness of my life!=) Before I sign off here, I want to say Hawaii has a tremendous wealth of musicians the rest of the world doesn't know about...check them out sometime! It's a sound very unlike the commercial sounds people are used to associating with Hawaii. Thanks for reading!=)
