"We have yesterday because, yes, it happened. We have today because we have so much to do. We don't have tomorrow because there is no promise of a morrow." I am a teenage poet, caught between the worlds of Childhood and Adulthood. I want to leave one, yet I am unprepared for the other; both terrify me and leave me in awe. The innocence of a child and the perserverance of an adult are such contrasts to one another, yet one can find bits of each in the other. A child may have to mature faster than expected, or and adult may never fully "grow up." I aspire to be one of those adults: never fully grown yet able to function in the world around me.
