About Walkere

If you're curious about the kind of background that I bring to my opinions... here it is.
I grew up in Edison, NJ and attended high school there. I'm currently attending Rutgers University across the river in New Brunswick, NJ. I live off campus in a house with some friends that I met at school.
As far as interests go, I like a lot of things. School, of course, takes up a lot of my free time. I also enjoy reading and writing to some extent. I enjoy music, but I rarely purchase new albums anymore. Movies are one of my great passions, and I have a large collection of DVDs - roughly 100+. I play video games every once in a while (generally Madden 2004 for the PS2). Most of the time, though, I'm either at work in the mall or hanging out relaxing with my friends.
I end up reviewing a lot of different things here, mainly because I enjoy a lot of things. I've got a lot to say on pretty much every topic from books to music to movies to computers to national parks. I might not always be an expert on what I talk about, but I'm always pretty sure of what I'm saying.
If you're curious about how I rate/write my opinions, here goes...
I give 4's out generously because, in my mind, that's a good, decent product. It's above average and fully functional, but there's nothing outstanding about it.
A five would indicate a nice product with some outstanding features, and a three is just a nice product that has some annoying drawbacks.
I rarely ever give out 2's or 1's, but you can be assured that if I do, I mean it. A one is something I find pretty useless, and a two isn't much better.
Overall, most of my opinions share the same structure and style, too. Music opinions focus on a song-by-song description of the CD with the good and bad parts highlighted. With computer products and other reviews, I just go back through my experience of using the product or service and say whatever I thought at the time.
