4/30/01: Well now that Epinions seems to be back up and running at full steam, I've actually been able to do a little updating and work. Hopefully I'll even get some new reviews up soon. I'm spending the summer in Japan (Yokohama to be exact) and I'm not quite sure what my access will be like, I'm taking my laptop though and hopefully everything will work out. Anyway, take care and have fun.
1/3/01: Happy new year everyone! I've been thinking recently about whether or not I should rewrite a bunch of my old epinions, but have recently decided that I will leave them the way they are so that new writers can see the evolution of my epinions over time. Another recommendation by the way, don't try and incorporate all the hints you receive from older epioneers at once, instead just work on at a time.
12/22/00: As many of you may have noticed due to my increased activity on this site, my worst semester is now over. I hope to be on here a lot more often now and I'm going to go write some more reviews right now.
I am a second year grad student in the PhD Program at the University of Michigan. I am associated with the Music Engineering (MusEn) research group which works under the AI Lab in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. My current research involves the examination of ways to index music and literature by style instead of by the standard methods and having that style extracted automatically.
