My taste in games includes: Fighting, FPS, TPS, Brawlers, Lightgun, Music, and more. What annoys me most is when FPS titles feel cliche and don't differentiate their-selves from other FPS titles. I also hate fighting games that force players to specialize in a certain character.
Here's a quick list of my favorite titles from each Genre:
My career is in software testing. Currently, I test public safety software which means I have to have an exceptional eye for detail. This transfers over into my reviews and I critique everything.
I seriously have ADHD. Not like kids who say it just to sound cool, I've been diagnosed with it. This plays into my review style as I don't easily rate something highly. If I have to force myself to pay attention to it, it's probably getting a low rating.
My personal interests include monster movies (but not horror) and (for the most part) anything well written. I have pretty eclectic tastes, which is why you'll see reviews ranging from Halo to Get Fit with Mel B, but not always everything in between. You may even find Carly Rae Jepson (Call Me Maybe) and Ozzy Osborne (Crazy Train) on the same playlist for my MP3 player. This happens to the degree that even my wife is baffled as to what I will or won't like. If you see something that has you scratching your head, just nod and smile.
Personally, I'm young at hear. Married with kids, and loving it. My hobbies include philosophy, theology, exercising, music, and gaming. Chances are, you'll see reviews or writer's corner articles on all of the above.
