As you can see, I currently only retain Top Reviewer Status in Electronics. I haven't had as much time to write as in years past... and I'm not quite purchasing as much stuff as I used to.
Why do I buy so many digital cameras? (8/25/06)
Because there is no perfect single digital camera. Although I'm still learning the more advanced features of digital cameras and photography, I prefer having several cameras for me to experiment on. Also, I tend to get a pretty good deal on most of my digital cameras... if I really don't like a camera, I will return the camera or sell it off with a minimal loss. Even if I keep the camera for a while, I have several friends who are willing to purchase the camera from me for what I paid for it.
Why do I buy so many MP3 players/multimedia players?
This one is simply cause I'm a sucker for Apple and Creative. If I didn't spend so much money on digital cameras and my anime collection, I might have bought iRiver and Archos products as well.

I stick mostly to writing on computer hardware, electronics, and anime... I do crossover time to time, but these three are my strengths.
Some of my most popular reviews to date (anywhere from 1000 to 35000 total hits for each review):
I'm a physician interested in computer hardware, software, animation, personal electronics and gadgets, and whatever else is around my place or my parent's place (hey, since I'm the one to use it anyway). Anime is one particular hobby I take pride in and keep up to date with the current releases in America and Japan, whether it's in the theater, video, or TV. My second hobby has me tinkering with computer hardware and software especially whole desktops, notebooks, SCSI peripherals, removal storage, and printers... plus game accessories as well. I enjoy playing video games and my Palm PDAs too. And I like medicine too :-)
About my reviews, I try to give the unbiased views based on facts to back them up with a mix of technical and real use info in them. These will compose of my own experiences and opinions of friends. My Final Thoughts section in my reviews give you my take on an item and give comparision items as well.
I am very passionate about animation and will tend to write these reviews with a combination of what I thought the themes and storyline of the anime were... with what the producers and writers of the anime had planned. If a manga is related to the particular anime, I will include the storyline from that and the differences as well. I also try to include the history of the production in my reviews if I have knowledge on it.
I hope you enjoy reading my reviews and get useful and entertaining information from them!
My rating system:
I rate reviews based on how it would influence my buying decision. I don't have to agree with it but as long as it can influence my decision, you will get a high rating from me. Especially if you can back your argument, you'll get a helpful or very helpful rating from me. Good comparisions with competing products are a big plus in my book. A recommended review is an excellent review and a highly recommended an outstanding review.
Rating anime and movie reviews follows whether you can make me want to watch or not watch a movie or see a different viewpoint in the work. If you are unable to back your argument of an anime then I will not recommend a review. Anime and film reviews can express why a reviewer is for or against a piece, but to me, it should serve to enlighten a person watching the piece or considering to watch the piece. These are the reviews that'll get a HR from me.
