Pros: Arrived on time, Easy to order, Looked Good Cons: Phone call took a bit longer than it should
I ordered a plant arrangement for next day morning delivery - ordering around 2 pm pacific - for a delivery in the Los Angeles area. The arrangement of plants arrived on time, by 10 am the next morning, and look good.

Pros: decent operators Cons: there are SEVERE delivery and storage problems on the roses. They tend to arrive late and DEAD : (
1800 Flowers looked to be a good service... little did I know... Unfortunately, as you will soon find out, my exploration with this service ended after my first encounter. They delivered dying roses to my doorstep late... can there be anything...

Absolutely Horrible!

DO NOT USE THESE IDIOTS. Three times I tried to send an arrangement to my mother in Canada. All three times the flowers arrive dead and frozen!!!! No Refund available. They want my 80+ year old mother to take digital photos and email them. SHE IS 80+ YEARS OLD she doesn't have the know how or equipment to take and send digital photos. Flower sit on a UPS truck overnight and freeze. The driver just leaves them at the door and doesn't even knock. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH... WILL NOT ANSWER PHONE OR RETURN CALLS. THEY DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO THEIR ONLINE CHAT!!!
Buyers be warned! Use FTD or anyone else that actually uses local florists for delivery!

Bad experience

I placed an order on November 17. Arrangement was not cheap and for that we customers expect good service. Delivery was fast and for that I have to give credit to the company. On the other hand the store did not deliver the full arrangement that the site shows. Bouquet did not have roses and godetias as they mentioned in their description. What my cousin received was an arrangement with empty spaces and the worst of it some of the daisy flowers were missing leaf. As I said before, I am satisfied for the delivery. But I am really unhappy with the bouquet. Company do not deliver what is promised and for that I am not doing business with this site, all my family and friends know of the company's poor service.

Shameful lack of caring

Worst Experience - Ordered flowers for my 20th anniversary to be delivered to a BUSINESS it included a 20th anniversary message. It took until 2:31 to put them on the truck and did not get delivered before she left at 4. You would think that they would try a little harder. It is sad that a service company can not look at the situation and deliver what's best for the customer. Customer service did point out that the web site says delivery will be between 9am -7pm - Great thanks for that how about you look and at the fact that it is a business + anniversary + ordered the night before

Horrible site, bad service

Their site wouldn't accept my valid credit card, despite my use of several different browsers. When I finally caved and talked to a "service" rep, after 15 minutes of more nonsense, my card was again denied due to too many failed attempts to use it previously. The only reason I was using them was because I had a gift card, which I think I'll now throw away because there's no way in hell I'm ever going to try to use this site again. You'd think a company with .com in the name would have a funcitonal webpage...

I will not deal with them again

The flowers I ordered for a birthday celebration were supposed to be “Beautiful bouquet of roses, sunflowers, lilies, daisy poms, seeded eucalyptus, and salal, accented with preserved Fall leaves”. But instead there were carnations and an unidentifiable assortment. There were no lilies, sunflowers, etc. And it wasn’t a Fall theme.
ALSO I ordered a large size. The picture on the website showed the bouquet as larger than the height of the vase and larger than an accompanying birthday balloon. The bouquet that was received was about the same size as the vase and smaller than the balloon.
I never would have known if the recipient hadn’t sent me a picture.
They gave me a hard time, but finally I got a 50% credit.

Poor customer service

Was a big fan of flowers.com until recently. My girlfiend purchased flowers online for her mother to be delivered on her Bday. They never arrived. My girlfiend called the next day & was given the excuse driver was really busy and unable to make the delivery. They offered to charge her half price and make dlievey asap that morning. By end of business day next day again flowers were not delivered. She called again & asked for a refund and she was told no ferund could be issued cause driver was in route to make delivery after 6PM. The representative offered an apology and discounts on future purchases. With this kind of service I wouldn't purchases anything again. Totally unacceptable and ruins the birthday suprise making it seem forgetful on my girlfriend part. Dissapointed with customer service and refusal to issue refund. Will stick with the local flower shops going forward.

Horrible Experience...Never again

What a joke these people are. They delivered flowers late to my mother-in-laws funeral Saturday. And the flowers they delivered looked NOTHING like the picture online I ordered. Their bouquet was the ugliest in the room...by far. Customer services in non-existent. Their customer service told me I was being insensitive by getting mad at them. Insensitive! INSENSITIVE!! Wow…a death in my family did not merit them doing their job. If you are ordering for birthday or Anniversary you are going to get totally screwed. Talking with other individuals that ordered flowers for Saturday, I paid the most and got the least. This was my first and last time use 800-flowers. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great service idea but real bad in it's execution TWICE!

This is my second time using them and they got the order wrong both times. I got a call today from cust service that my same day delivery confirmed order was NOT delivered. It's now 3 days later and it was for my daughter's 21st birthday. Boy, dad looked like a real a-whole, thanks flowers. They offered to send it out promptly (3 days later) and the girl assured me she would call the florist so it would look EXACTLY like the picture online, or she'd locate another florist. Got a call after lunch from my daughter that the flowers arrived. Send me a picture I asked. NOTHING like my online order picture. OH, and the message I put in the online greeting card space? Couldn't get that right either. They are depending on local florists to fulfill these orders and my guess is they just don't pay enough to the local florist fulfilling the order to get it right. They did refund my money after an hour talking to cust service. Never again.

Buyer beware. Gone way downhill

Buyer beware!! Used to be a great company. Will never use them again. Horrible customer service. Impossible to get through on phones. 40 minute plus wait times. Delivery ordered a week in advance for the day before mother's day and the flowere were never delivered. Emails confirming delivery with flowers still at florist. No response form customer service emails. Horrible treatment of loyal customer. So sad because they used to be a good company.

Disgruntled and appauled

APPALLED! Complete failure to deliver a bouquet that even resembled what I had ordered. The arrangement was supposed to be "Plum Crazy" with lots of purple flowers... what was delivered? Pink and white and some other random greenery. Oh, but there was one purple flower so I guess that counts. And don't get me started on size - the LARGE arrangement I ordered was supposed to be approx 17"x15" in a vase. What was delivered was 7"x8" in a 3" square jar looking thing - that was RED. 1-800-Flowers should be completely ashamed of themselves. And when I called Customer Service to get my "satisfaction guaranteed" all they would do is either credit me 20% or give me a $20 credit towards my next purchase. HA, like anyone in their right mind would bother ordering from them again. So, even if you only get 50% of you had ordered and paid for, they're only willing to give you 20% of it back. My recommendation to everyone wanting to get flowers - go to Safeway and hand-deliver... the quality and quantity will be much greater.
