The merchant called me to suggest the purchase of a 1GB 80x SD memory card to go with my Canon PowerShot A630. I accepted and am extremely pleased with my purchase. It was the perfect complement. I was going to buy another non high speed card, but I'm so pleased to have bought this one. Videos are great. What is confusing is the order # on my confirmation is different than what the customer service person sent me and also different from what your website shows. Another disheartening part is that an order that was place had to then be confirmed by phone. I didn't get the email until a week later (although it was during the holidays) and then being out of the office it has now been almost 2-weeks from the time the order was placed to when it will be mailed out. I would assume that phone confirmations could be made in just a few days, but this wasn't the case. Read more

Service is offered this time is unacceptable, they forced me to call them back several times only because they want to sell me additional items.
They kept me on the phone (I was calling from Italy) only because they tried to add as many as possible different items to my order.

As much as I enjoyed my shopping experience and appreciate a good deal, I just didn't understand having to respond to an email only containing the below info:
"Thank for your recent order at abes of maine. Please call Bill at 800 992 2237 or 718 645 1818 ext 208."
It told me nothing about why I needed to call. What would have happened if I didn't call, or was now out of town? I was already expecting the camera after receiving my confirmation via email after the online purchase.
I really wasn't asked anything in particular during the phone conversation to warrant the phone call in the first place. I just end up getting charged minutes against my cell phone plan (my only phone).
To close on a positive note: Outstanding service, products and prices from Abe's. I thank you sincerely for that.

After placing the order on email I got a call from seller trying to sell me unwanted accessories, which I refused. A few minutes later I got another phone call saying that if I did not have a listed phone
they could not proceed with the order, so the order was cancelled.

I paid extra for 2-3 day shipping and it took 15 days. I called on sunday and asked to talk to someone and was transferred to a message that said to call back monday- friday 9-4. I checked this merchant's website several times to compare the offered product, merchant policies, and shipping charges. After I felt comfortable that I could get a USA warranty, after determining that the price was okay for this item. I placed the order.
The fact that the only way that I knew the order had been placed was to check with their record of my account did cause some concern. Normally, I expect at least an auto-reply email after placing order.
