i bought television from website. their website stated it was in inventory. received e-mail next day to confirm order and to call them. i did this and left a message that i was confirming order and if they needed to contact me i left my home number. about 5 days go by, i call them to find out about shipping information, that's when tony tells me that they don't carry that tv anymore, they made no effort to call me or even to e-mail me about this info. terrible service.will never buy from them again, it is vendors like this who ruin the online experience when purchasing a major appliance like this, i think i would rather pay a few hundred more shopping at the local electronic places for my piece of mind. trust me, i'm a business owner and i don't like getting complaints, but this is just plain ignorant. Was not sure at the time of purchase if the rebate form would be enclosed in the sale since the rebate was not taken off the total and the website did not say anything about it.
Sent an email to Abe's of Maine and got NO reply, even up to now after the product arrived. The rebate form was included in the box, but no response to my email gives it a POOR customer service rating, and an AVERAGE overall rating. Read more

I liked that they noticed and followed up on the difference between telephone number provided and the shipping destination. Didn't like how on the phone they pushed accessory items that I didn't need or want. Read more

Very easy to order and I liked the phone call 'followup' to make sure I was indeed the one who ordered the item. The order was shipped quickly. However, a UPS mistake extended the order delivery by a week. This was beyond Abe's control. The order finaly arrived in perfect working order. Read more

After 6 days since purchase, I telephoned to check the status of my order as the web site still only said "processed". I was informed that the shipment would ship out on Monday, July 12 and that the shipping would be upgraded at no extra charge. It would have been nice if THEY could have phoned me to let me know it was delayed. All being said, the customer service lady at ABE's was very polite and courteous, and I will be shopping at Abe's of Maine again. Read more

Overall it was very good. Site was easily navigable, shipment arrived promptly once it was shipped, product arrived in good condition, tracking was excellent. My only difficulty, if I can call it that, was a mysterious email I received from someone named Tony at Abe's of Maine, asking me to call an 800 number about my order. When I called, I reached voicemail. I left a message, but never received a call back, or a follow-up email. Frankly, that was unsettling. This occurred before I received notification that my order was shipped. It was two days later that I received teh shipment notification. Had that taken longer, I would have been tempted to cancel the order. That part was just a little too strange. But - the order did indeed ship, and it arrived safely in a timely manner. Read more
