Item is out of stock. The process of notifying me of this has been uncoordinated and confusing, with multiple points of contact, and I still don't know when my purchase will be delivered. I have purchased from Abes of Maine before with excellent results, so I will give them another chance, but if this was my first purchase with them I would cancel and buy the TV from another retailer. Overall Abe's of Maine provided good service up to the point of sale. The only beef I had with them is that I was told by the shipping company that they were instucted by Abe's of Maine to only get the TV as close to my door as possible, and that I would have to get it inside my home myself. On multiple occasions, their shopping cart function "mysteriously" placed items in my basket that I did not select.
It took them 6-7 phone calls over 13 days to finally tell me that my order wasn't shipped because it was discontinued.
I spent at least 10 minutes on hold each time I called their support number. On 3 out of the 6-7 calls I was disconnected by the customer service rep. Read more

I was called and treated like a criminal because I did not have a home phone. My cell phone is registered with my credit card company. They said they couldn't process the order without a home phone although they still charged my credit card. When I emailed them the first time they did not respond. I emailed them again and then had to call them and was routed to 5 different people. I still have not received a credit to my credit card. The order was placed on 6/26 and it is now 7/04. The experience was pretty quick and their prices are competitive. There was one annoyance - they had "limited supplies" and would not allow me to order two over the phone. They said I had to go online and order one twice. In fact, I was able to order both in a single online order and should have been allowed to do so by phone as well. I happened to be on assignment in Asutralia for my company and needed to leave the country for 48 hours. Thinking that Singapore had the best prices for electronics, I booked the trip. I spent four days in Singapore looking for the Canon Optura Xi and when I finally found it, it was more expensive (by far) than the price on Abe's website.
I frequently check the prices of electronics and Abe's of Maine is consistantly among the cheapest. I did not know their service was also excellent until I used them recently. This is a fine establishment with excellent prices. Use them without worry. Read more

I expected the shipment of my order from Abe's to be faster. It seems that the order placed me into a queue for a direct sales call to buy more products. This both delayed the process of getting my product while also annoying me with sales pitches that sent me to shop online in the first place.
