TERRIBLE!! Don't have a clue about CS!

I will never do business with those people again. They don't know what it is to take care of their customer. Customer service is not existent! I tried to return a product. Website was down and it was impossible to get a hold of them by phone. They refused return and even store credit. RIDICULOUS! Their Matilda Hall - Manager, Customer Services does not have a clue! Does not respond to email in a timely manner either. I thought I could trust them and did not believe the review I read about them...I guess it is my fault! I regret it.
BELIEVE ME!! They are not worth your time and your money. Don't work with them. SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

VERY BAD SERVICE

Bad experience. They said item would ship in 1-2 days. 2 weeks later emailed them and they said because of holidays it was delayed, they will ship on Friday or Monday. Emailed them again on Wednesday and now they said they sent me an email on the day I ordered and said it was back ordered for 2-3 weeks. NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL, not to mentioned I emailed them and they did not mentioned that, they said that it would be shipped Friday or Monday. Not able to cancel my order online so I called.....CANNOT GET THROUGH! Bad

I recently placed two different orders with BabyAge. I chose them for their low prices and cheap shipping costs. Because I live in a rural area, it also saved me a lot in gas money (nearest city is one hour away).
Before placing my orders, I first confirmed that the items were in stock. My wait on the customer service line was approximately three minutes. The person on the line was very helpful and polite when she answered my questions.
Once the items were shipped, I received an email notice with tracking numbers. My items arrived two days after the email.
Both of my packages were in good shape and the contents were not damaged. One package (the box) showed some damage, but it was probably due to handling by the shipper.
I will admit that the color of the carseat that I ordered did not precisely match the color of the one pictured on the site. This was not an issue for me.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with BabyAge.com and will most likely purchase from them again.

Watch out for their fees! No customer service!

BabyAge might seem to have very good prices but be very careful with all the fees they charge. I ordered two items. One of them arrived within a week, the other took a while. Three weeks after placing the order and not receiving the product, I decided to cancel the order. Five days later I get an e-mail stating the product had been shipped. Shipped? So two days later, I refused the package. The item was worth around $17 and they charged me a $10 refusal fee. When I called them, they told me they were supposed to also charge a 50% restocking fee, which they were nice enough not to do. What???? I told them I cancelled the item before they had shipped and they told me that the item was already in the shipping process (for five days!!!) I would never order from them again!

DO NOT BUY FROM BABYAGE.COM!!! Their customer service is the absolute worst! I have purchased from them in the past because their prices are good, but if you encounter a problem with a product and need to return it, I caution you you'll experience HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a baby monitor that doesn't work and wanted to return it, but they will not take it back and refund me. They said I had opened the box, even though everything is still new and placed back in the original package. Even when I had the manufacturer ship me a new, unopened product, they refused to let me ship back the new product and refund my money. I spoke to three different people at BabyAge, all who were RUDE, abrupt, gave me the run-around, and simply refused to refund my money.

I ordered a gift for my niece from babyage.com that was supposed to arrive in 4 to 5 days. I checked the status of the shipping everyday and it said "order is in progress" - after 2 weeks and numerous e-mails and phone calls to babyage.com, I still do not know when and/or if the gift has been or will be sent. I tried to cancel my order and Babyage told me they couldn't cancel because they didn't know what the status was yet (duh!). I did receive my bill from American Express and my Babyage order was on it. Seems Babyage is very good at billing and very bad at customer service. I am embarrassed that my gift never made it to my niece and extremely disappointed in the service I got from Babyage. One of the worst online retailers I've ever encountered! Don't buy from them!!!

Horrible service. They sent me an e-mail saying that the product that I ordered was mailed to me. I received it 3 weeks later and it wasn't even what I ordered. I had to call a million times and got different answers each time. They were not able to provide the product that I purchased and they made me deal with the manufacturer directly because they said that it was not their fault. I am still waiting for somebody to pick up the box and return my money. The product that I ordered is still on their web site and people can purchase it even though the manufacturer does not make it any more. Do not buy anything from this website, it is not reliable.

Do not buy from this company! I purchased a Peg Perego Pliko Lite stroller from them. The box had previously been opened, the cup holder was missing, no Baby Age paperwork included. Baby Age removed all serial numbers from the box (actually cut them off)and removed official Peg Perego tags from product (the ones that say this is a genuine product). Only after I called did they admit they were not an authorized Peg Perego dealer, so no Peg Perego warranty either! After several heated discussions, they would only give me store credit and would not pay for return shipping. Since they would not resolve this issue, my credit card company has removed the funds from their account. Bottom line, beware when the price is significantly lower then other vendors. You get what you pay for!

My wife and I have been fighting with Baby Age to return a product that was a duplicate of a gift we received. Not only is their "customer service" rude and unhelpful, they will not accept a return of their product even though it was NEVER OPENED. We received an email stating that the item was returned due to "customer remorse", we had to pay for the return, and then they said that we had opened the box. They won't give us our money back back even though the box was never, ever opened. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CHEATS!

Awful! They advertise a price-match guarentee. I sent them to two different websites that were recommended by epinions, and they told me they weren't "comptetitors". They rated them in the lines of ebay, closeouts, and wholesalers. They most certainly were not! They just didn't want to match the much better price. Instead they kept me on hold ten minutes before they could tell me that they just wouldn't do it. Don't waste your time at this store.

Great Store with Fast Free Shipping

I was hesitant to order from Babyage.com after reading some of the reviews here. But I went ahead and ordered a Britax Roundabout because they offered free shipping, same day shipping, and 10% off becasue it was Presidents Day. I also ordered a Graco Pack and Play. I got free shipping on both, as well as the 10% off. And sure enough, they shipped them both out about 3 hours after I ordered it. Babyage provided UPS tracking numbers and they even arrived a day earlier than promised. All in all, I would highly recommend this store. They delivered exactly what they promised.

A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE TWICE!!!

I just placed an order for a Graco Totblock Playyard on 2/14/06 and received my order on 2/20/06! This is the second time I have used Babyage with a positive experience. The first one being 8/05 and ordering 2 items, which I received within 5 days! This last order with the play yard, I checked with other online retailer but was going to be charged an arm and a leg because of the weight. Babycenter.com was going to charge their normal s/h plus $8.00 extra. But Babyage only charged their flat rate of $5.95!!!! I have been VERY happy both times with my orders.

I am in agreement with all the negative postings about this merchant--one of the worst experiences ever. I ordered a jog stroller that was to be shipped within 5 days, but after 5 days I had not heard anything from the merchant. Four e-mails went unanswered as well as three telephone messages. When I attempted to cancel my order they said the package was on the way by UPS, but they could not provide a tracking number or delivery date--still nothing received from them. The lesson is to always check out lesser known Internet stores to avoid horrors like this one.

Last week I ordered a Maclaren Techno Classic stroller. This stroller was an incredible price I saved approx. $100.00. The stroller arrived in 7 days and I had great customer service!
After ordering I came across Epinions and read pages of feedback left by customers of Baby age. Many warned not to purchase from them. I was very nervous about my order but they came through with shinning colors. I would order from them again!

This was probably the best experience I have had with Internet shopping. The item arrived sooner than I expected, was exactly what I ordered and in perfect condition. I especially liked the ability to track the status of my package. Excellent site!

The item I received was damaged. I tried to contact someone about the problem several times and couldn't get hold of anyone. I eventually had to leave a message with an answering machine. It has been a week and I still haven't recieved a response. I don't plan on using Babyage.com in the future.

I found your site by accident on the net. The office was having a baby shower for one of our employees and we needed some gifts fast. I couldn't believe how fast we recieved our orders. I ordered one thing and when it came the next day, we decided to pick out other things to buy. The ups delivery guy came 3x in one week wondering if we were going to start a baby store!! I work in a pediatric office and I will recommend your site to all expectant moms!!!!!!!

If an item is not in stock, then the web site should indicate so. But BabyAge plays the same sleazy game that a lot of other sites do: first they charge your card, but then email you to say that your item is back ordered and they don't know when they'll have it in stock. This way they have you over a barrel, which is a lousy way to practice business but is becoming more common. By the time they get this order shipped to me, my baby probably won't need the item any longer!
