Charged credit card before shipping item. Worst customer service.

I will never shop at babyage.com again. I was unable to get through to their customer service through the phone and through their online customer service phone. I was on hold for well over 1 1/2 hours and eventually got cut off, and they never reply to the emails sent. They claimed that they shipped my order and provided an invalid FedEx tracking number. After numerous unsuccessful attempts in contacting them, I am working through my credit card company to dispute the charges on my credit card. By the way, they charge your credit card the minute you place an order with them even though the item is on backordered for weeks. It is a really bad business practice.

Do not order from this site. Ordered a car seat on 1/1/05, charged credit card 1/3/05, CLAIMED shipped 1/5/05. FedEx has no record of shipment, cannot reach customer service via phone, email or fax. Appears they have flown the coop with my money. FRAUD.

Very bad experience

I have to say the service is among the worst I've experienced. The representatives are pleasant enough, but there service is terrible. I was on hold for 3 hours. I never did get to speak with anyone. They bill your credit card without having an item available to ship. It took several days to get my card credited. I can't believe that a business can survive with service this bad.

I have never had a worse experience with an online merchant. I ordered a very expensive toy from them last month, and it arrived damaged and missing important parts that you need to assemble it. I was really angry. My toddler had been looking forward to receiving it for a long time. I wrote them an e-mail and called them several times demanding a discount and a replacement. They e-mailed me back several days later asking me to call them. When I did, the customer service lady was unhelpful and apathetic. She said she would 'call the warehouse about the parts'. She did not offer to take the item back. Two weeks later, its still sitting in a box, useless and broken. I finally called VISA and did a chargeback. I don't know what is going to happen now!! I would STRONGLY advise going with a more reputable seller such as amazon.com or someone because these people are not good business people. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!!

I have never written a review (either good or bad) about anything but since I had such a bad online ordering experience with BabyAge I wanted to warn other consumers! I ordered a Britax Boulevard car seat for my son. After I opened the box, I realized that even though my son was below the weight size that was listed for the car seat, my son was too large and didn't fit comfortable in the car seat. The car seat was never put in my my car....and has all of the tags and everything still attached. So I called the customer service number to get the return authorization (I see now why you have to call for a return authorization). I was told that since I opened the BOX I cannot return the car seat! They told me that since I opened the box, now the car seat is considered "used" and cannot be returned. I have NEVER, EVER heard of anything like this before. So BEWARE if you do any business with this company! My overall satisfaction with this company is ZERO.

There is no customer service!!

I've had the same experience as other reviewers have had recently. I wish I had read these before I ordered. There is no customer service. I placed two separate orders-one was for a Jeep double stroller. I received my orders a couple days later which I was pleased with. Unfortunately, they sent a Jeep single stroller which I don't need or want. How could they send a completely different item-aren't sku numbers checked? My second order arrived at the same time. I received 3 of the 4 items that I ordered. The one that was missing had the word "out" handwritten next to it but no explanation as to when I would be receiving it. That was 1/18/05. I emailed customer service that night. Over the last 8 days, I have emailed them 5 times and called and left messages at least 5 or 6 times. No one has responded! I want the things I paid for! My next step is calling my credit card company and probably the BBB after hearing everyone else's experiences. The site has other good qualities if only they could get their customer service together. I would not recommend this site-it's hit or miss.

The Worst Customer Service Ever

I ordered a crib mattress from BabyAge in November 2004. It is now January 2005 and I have not received anything. The 800 number is never answered. I did receive an unprofessional call from someone who said there was a problem but to-date I not heard back again. No product, no replacement, no credit. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They do not even answer the sales extention. I urge you to never use BabyAge - its the worst.

Dishonest company! Do NOT buy from Baby AGE.com!!!!! I ordered two youth car seats. We opened one box and found that the car seat was far too large for our car. When we discovered that we could not return the one that we opened we were mad, but kept it. We requested a return authorization from the company on the second, UN-opened box and returned it as described by their return policy. They are now saying the box was damaged and not in a "re-sellable condition" and they are giving us an in store credit! I have spoke to two "supervisors" who say they will do nothing to refund my money. I am so mad I am suing them in small claims court. They are dishonest and do not honor their own return policy!

Worst online baby retailer- terrible customer service!!!!

Of all the online vendors I have dealt with while purchasing items for my baby, Babyage was by far the worst in terms of customer service. I tried to return a Peg Perego stroller, and after getting a return authorization and paying another $25 to ship it back, they shipped it back to me and refused to return it (without any reasoning). When I called their customer service back, they said that I had exceeded the time limit for returns and could not send it back (the time expired while the item was being processed by them and shipped back to me). Needless to say I was upset and now own a stroller that I don't need that is still "new in box." I would warn others to never order anything from them unless you are absolutely sure you are not going to return the item.

I tried to buy a baby car sit. I paid $250.00 dollars for it.
Item was NEVER delivered. Each time I called baby age (another pain) they had a new excuse on why delivery was "delayed". After 5 weeks and 4 new delivery dates, I had to cancel the order. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Awful--ordered a product that I needed and was hard to find. Got jerked around for three months before they finally canceled my order. I had my hands full with newborn twins, and I had to contact them at least twenty times (well, call back and speak to so-and-so; why don't you email so-and-so about that?), and all for nothing. *Very* disappointed.

BabyAge might seem to have very good prices but be very careful with all the fees they charge. I ordered two items. One of them arrived within a week, the other took a while. Three weeks after placing the order and not receiving the product, I decided to cancel the order. Five days later I get an e-mail stating the product had been shipped. Shipped? So two days later, I refused the package. The item was worth around $17 and they charged me a $10 refusal fee. When I called them, they told me they were supposed to also charge a 50% restocking fee, which they were nice enough not to do. What???? I told them I cancelled the item before they had shipped and they told me that the item was already in the shipping process (for five days!!!) I would never order from them again!

Order a car seat on 12/30/2004. Never shipping after 6 days.Call customer support, nobody answer but a full message box. Email customer support no reply either.
The high rating of this reseller is not real, it is faked.

DO NOT BUY FROM BABYAGE.COM!!! Their customer service is the absolute worst! I have purchased from them in the past because their prices are good, but if you encounter a problem with a product and need to return it, I caution you you'll experience HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a baby monitor that doesn't work and wanted to return it, but they will not take it back and refund me. They said I had opened the box, even though everything is still new and placed back in the original package. Even when I had the manufacturer ship me a new, unopened product, they refused to let me ship back the new product and refund my money. I spoke to three different people at BabyAge, all who were RUDE, abrupt, gave me the run-around, and simply refused to refund my money.

I ordered a double stroller for my daughter from your website primarily due to the promised delivery time. The site said it would take about 2 days, I ordered on a Wed evening and was expecting the stroller by Sat but didn't get it till Monday but still it was faster than most of the other companies plus your site had a coupon and a low shipping cost. The item that arrived at my home was not the model that was shown on the web site page, I selected Azure and what came was Blue Stars pattern. Customer service helped get a UPS shipping tag to get it back to the merchant and credited my account. I looked at the website, and they still have not taken the Azure selection off. Hope no one else has this problem, since the customer service rep told me they don't carry the Azure pattern.

Hassle free processing. Convenient shipment tracking. I knew when to be home to receive the product. The check out was easy. The product was listed in more than one place. This particular product was the lowest priced I could find, but received a quality, original-packaged product. The shipment was one day longer than anticipated, but it was not an inconvenience. All in all a very acceptable purchase process.
