Non-existent customer service

I tried to order a car seat. No response to e-mail or phone call. Customer service is non existent. There seems to be a problem with my order which they can't seem to solve. I decided not to deal with babyage.com since they are too busy to deal with customers.

I ordered a gift for my niece from babyage.com that was supposed to arrive in 4 to 5 days. I checked the status of the shipping everyday and it said "order is in progress" - after 2 weeks and numerous e-mails and phone calls to babyage.com, I still do not know when and/or if the gift has been or will be sent. I tried to cancel my order and Babyage told me they couldn't cancel because they didn't know what the status was yet (duh!). I did receive my bill from American Express and my Babyage order was on it. Seems Babyage is very good at billing and very bad at customer service. I am embarrassed that my gift never made it to my niece and extremely disappointed in the service I got from Babyage. One of the worst online retailers I've ever encountered! Don't buy from them!!!

As of 2005, this company is in trouble. Please check Bizrate.com ratings before you order anything. The BBB is getting ready to take action because of the numerous complaints. Babyage.com is charging credit cards, sending fraudulent shipping numbers and customers are not receiving any merchandise. There is absolutely NO customer service available. Trust me on that.
The warehouse has recently moved and they are using the move as an excuse. Please spare yourself a headache and research this company BEFORE you purchase anything.
They will send you separate emails stating your order has been received, processed and shipped, but they are all simply deceitful.

Beware, this was the worst experience I had with an online company. I ordered the carseats on Jan. 5, 2005. On Jan. 10, they e-mailed me saying my order has been shipped with a bogus tracking number. When I would click on the link to track my shipping, the Fedex website would say "this tracking number cannot be found". I tried to contact babyage customer service. However, I waited on the line for 20 minutes only to find out that I was sent to a mailbox that is full, of course. Today is Jan. 26 and I have not received my order. I have made a complaint with the BBB and I recommend that other do the same. I also recommend that you take this store little blue ribbon off your web-page because this store cannot be trusted.

Awful. They were dishonest about ship time, price guarantees, then promised something they couldn't deliver. I have yet to receive my Britax purchase and I ordered it a month ago. They falsely advertised a "won't be undersold price guarantee " and then didn't keep up to their end of the bargain. Customer service was supremely unhelpful.

TERRIBLE!! Dont make the same mistake I did and trust this unreliable company! I ordered a car seat ($230.00) thru ebay and was assured it was in stock and would ship immediately. I specifically emailed the on-line sales manager "Matilda" (matilda@babyage.com) and she guarenteed me that the car seat was in stock. I paid for item with Paypal. I was then told the item was out of stock. Matilda offered a solution - a lower model of car seat for a HIGHER price ($269.99). I of course was furious and demanded a refund. My account was refunded, but Matilda left me Negative feedback on ebay. Not a quality company and certainly not customer friendly. I will NEVER do business with BabyAge again! BEWARE!!! Please take my advise and purchase from a more reliable website or store.

Terrible store, bad customer service, slow shipping time, false advertising on thier website. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I ordered a carseat from there and the website listed shipping as 2 weeks. Then I got the confirmation e-mail and it read 6-8 weeks, so I called and was told it was a presale so that was the standard e-mail, however the seats would be in and shipped within 2 weeks. At the end of those two weeks I called and was told they were coming in, to be patient. After 3 weeks I called AGAIN and was told they are getting them in, and it could take up to 9 WEEKS to get them in and sent out. Their website still states 10-14 days for shipping. After going around with them, and realizing my seat was never going to be shipped, I canceled my order, to which I recieved a snotty attitude and basically got hung up on.
This company is a joke.

Baby Age charged me twice for something I only ordered once. When I contacted them to let them know I never received a confirmation e-mail for the second order, they said there was nothing I could do and I'd have to pay to send the product back. This is actually illegal. They were very rude to me when I asked to speak to a manager, and they never put me through to a manager.

Many phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. Now I am just hoping to get my money back and find the stroller elsewhere. NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered a crib bedding set as a gift. They charged my credit card immediately but 5 weeks later I had no shipping date. I e-mailed. They said it would be shipped in about a month. They said it was a special order. That's funny babysrus had it on the shelf. 4 - 8 weeks shipping date in this day and time are ridiculous. You get paid you ship the item. There should be no delay. I had to call and cancel the order and buy somewhere else. The baby could be here before I received my purchase.
I will always check the ratings before i do business with anyone online. I do a lot of my shopping online. I am usually very pleased. This company took the cake. I would never ever order anything else from them.

I order the Little Tikes 8x8 Bouncer on 12/7 as a Christmas present. When I placed the order it was shown in stock and shipped within 72 hours. I called 3 days later because it still has not shipped, and was told they just received some and should be shipped soon. 2 more days later I called and was told the item is in back ordered. They will not do any expedite shipping even if the item comes in later. Even as I was told the item is back ordered, it is still showing in stock in their web page. I canceled my order, and found out they already charged my credit card, even they do not have it in stock for shipping. Horrible customer service.

My experience with BabyAge has been AWFUL. I placed an order online and called a few days later to follow up to see if it has shipped. The customer service rep said it shipped and I would be emailed the tracking number that day. I did not receive the tracking number nor have I received my order. I have tried to get a customer service rep on the telephone every day since and after waiting on hold for 5-10 minutes i get no where. I have also tried to email the company numerous times about the status of the order and now to just cancel my order and have not had any response. I would NEVER recommend this company nor would I ever purchase from the again! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Horrible experience. When ordering, it asked for birth date and four last digits of SSC -- and put the order on hold. Any attempt to cancel failed. No-one on the phone (but message bank), no reply to email, no reply to facs. STAY AWAY!!

I really enjoyed my experience with BabyAge. I love that the shipping is a flat rate, it really made my decision on where I was going to purchase from. The site was easy to navigate and the prices competitive. The only real downside is that on some of the products the descriptions could have been a little better (I actually went to other sites to learn more about the product), and the selections are alright, but could be made better.
