HORRIBLE..WEBSITE DOESN'T DELIVER AS PROMISED.

I ordered the Britax Marathon car seat with the impression that it was in stock and would be delivered right away. Since my credit card was charged almost immediately, I expected the shipment to arrive shortly after. NO! I checked the status of my order and it stated "backorder". How is it possible to charge me for something I don't have and THEY DON'T HAVE EITHER. I have since sent 2 emails. I haven't had the courtesy of a reply yet......

There is no customer service!!

I've had the same experience as other reviewers have had recently. I wish I had read these before I ordered. There is no customer service. I placed two separate orders-one was for a Jeep double stroller. I received my orders a couple days later which I was pleased with. Unfortunately, they sent a Jeep single stroller which I don't need or want. How could they send a completely different item-aren't sku numbers checked? My second order arrived at the same time. I received 3 of the 4 items that I ordered. The one that was missing had the word "out" handwritten next to it but no explanation as to when I would be receiving it. That was 1/18/05. I emailed customer service that night. Over the last 8 days, I have emailed them 5 times and called and left messages at least 5 or 6 times. No one has responded! I want the things I paid for! My next step is calling my credit card company and probably the BBB after hearing everyone else's experiences. The site has other good qualities if only they could get their customer service together. I would not recommend this site-it's hit or miss.

NEVER SHOP HERE.

Beware, this was the worst experience I had with an online company. I ordered the carseats on Jan. 5, 2005. On Jan. 10, they e-mailed me saying my order has been shipped with a bogus tracking number. When I would click on the link to track my shipping, the Fedex website would say "this tracking number cannot be found". I tried to contact babyage customer service. However, I waited on the line for 20 minutes only to find out that I was sent to a mailbox that is full, of course. Today is Jan. 26 and I have not received my order. I have made a complaint with the BBB and I recommend that other do the same. I also recommend that you take this store little blue ribbon off your web-page because this store cannot be trusted.

This store MUST be taken off the trusted store list!!!!! I ordered a Britax Roundabout Car Seat from this store and 10 days later they e-mailed me and told me it's out of stock. However, they still billed my credit card!
I tried to get a hold of the company and it's almost impossible...busy signals, voice mail with no one returning my calls. I finally talked to someone and they told me they wouldn't be stocking their warehouse with this carseat for another 2 weeks.
I ended up canceling my order, and here it is a week later and they still have not credited my charge card! I'm currently disputing the order with my credit card company to cover my butt. To top it off, they still have it on their website that this carseat is still in stock!!!

Good products and prices. Terrible customer service! In the past I did order a carseat that did arrive within a week and a half of ordering. However, I have since placed an order for another item and, as others have stated, was charged immediately and sent a confirmation by e-mail. Now that a week and a half has gone by with no item I have tried NUMEROUS times to contact them by phone and e-mail at no avail. I finally figured out how to look my order up online and found that the item is back ordered. They never sent me any information about this. I am now getting American Express involved to try to get a refund. I would no longer recommend this vendor.

This store needs to be updated on Epinions as being a FRAUD... This store is HORRIBLE, they take your money and you do not get your items or any customer service.

I ordered a car seat from them and still I have not been able to get the seat or get anyone on the phone to tell me what is going on. They debited my card and now my bank is involved.

Please DO NOT use this store until they get their business corrected and in order. They were in the process of moving, however, I think the company is in financial ruin and needs to just shut the doors and turn off the online site.

It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard from anyone at Babyage.com. No one answers the 800 222 9243, no one emails back. Very frustrating I tried the 570 706 2455 x4201 and reache CEO's Jack Kiefer's ext and left a message. I will see if he returns my call. VERY BAD BUSINESS

Terrible service. I ordered a booster seat that indicated it would be shipped the next day and was charged for the seat on my credit card immediately. 10 days later, I sent an e-mail to customer service. 3 days after that, they sent an e-mail indicating it was on back order. Tried to cancel the order, but received it 3 weeks after I ordered anyway. Tried to call, left a message because I could not get anyone to answer the call - completely automated. It's been over a week since I e-mailed regarding how to ship back and get a credit and 10 days since I called. I've not heard a word. The worst service I've ever received - definitely would NOT recommend this online store. Unbelievable.

Hold the presses. I was once a loyal, then angry, now puzzled customer. I had been charged - no items came, wrong FedEx #'s, no customer service responses to calls/emails. I scoffed that babyage claimed FedEx didn't scan items. I called FedEx, filed a complaint. They had stated they had nothing in transit to me. However, after several poor reviews & damaging complaints filed, my items arrived today(3 weeks late). Via FedEx no less! It appears tracking/shipping errors may be their fault after all. Too bad babyage didn't call/email to explain anything - they could have saved themselves a big headache & a few loyal customers too.

I chose BabyAge to buy a Britax roundabout car seat because they were said to be offering free shipping. As it turns out, this was no longer the case. It was still a low price, so I went ahead with the order. I got a confirmation of the order, but for several days afterward...nothing. I emailed several times to check on the order, but received no response. Finally, 6 days later I received a notice that my car seat had shipped. Again, several days went by, so I contacted FedEx and gave them the tracking number I had been given. THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT! I called BabyAge for an entire day and waited on hold forever only to be bounced back to the original message. Then I left a message on their system and NEVER HEARD A WORD. Is anyone actually there?! Finally, still with no carseat, I called my credit card company and filed a dispute and sent a cancellation email to BabyAge. I still wonder if anyone actually read it! I can't imagine how this company got a recommendation from anyone! A bizarre and time-wasting experience. Steer clear.

I will never shop at babyage.com again. I was unable to get through to their customer service through the phone and voicemail. I was on hold for hours and eventually told voice mailbox is full. I placed order on 12/27/04 at which time the item I ordered (Britax Marathon carseat) were marked "Usually ships within one business day". but 1 week later (on 1/7/05) I received email from BabyAge stating the item was back ordered for 5-7 days. Until today (1/24) I'm still waiting for the shipment, no response yet. By the way, they charge your credit card the minute you place an order with them even though the item is not ready to ship. It is a really bad business practice. Be careful!!

I have to agree with the recent posts about BabyAge. Absolutely awful. I placed an order, was immediately charged for it, and have received nothing.

Nobody answers the phone or email in customer service. I made the mistake of believing their BBB certifications and such on their website, but they sure look like a scam. Maybe past customers have had good experiences, but recent history looks all bad for this store.

They don't even deserve one star.

1/26/2005 Update
I appear to have gotten some response from them. Here's what I did:
- contacted some of the endorsers that appear on the footer of their website, telling them this site appears to be using their endorsements to create a false aura of trust. I contacted:
- Thawte (abuse@thawte.com)
- BizRate (help@bizrate.com)

These endorsers then contacted BabyAge, and on 1/25 I received an email with valid tracking numbers showing that my products had shipped. Of course, all it means is something shipped. They may be sending empty boxes! Anyway, I'll believe it when the actual products show up at my door.

As of 2005, this company is in trouble. Please check Bizrate.com ratings before you order anything. The BBB is getting ready to take action because of the numerous complaints. Babyage.com is charging credit cards, sending fraudulent shipping numbers and customers are not receiving any merchandise. There is absolutely NO customer service available. Trust me on that.
The warehouse has recently moved and they are using the move as an excuse. Please spare yourself a headache and research this company BEFORE you purchase anything.
They will send you separate emails stating your order has been received, processed and shipped, but they are all simply deceitful.

i ordered my car seat back on jan 1st and still have not received it. i called their customer service 4 days ago and they claim it to be fed ex's problem. all i know is that my child is overflowing her car seat and that's a problem with me! i wouldn't have been so bad if they just would have notified their customers of this problem, but they said they were waiting for us to contact them just incase we ended up getting a double order. why would they care if it was fed ex's fault? aren't their shipments insured? they would have no loss. i was not even offered a refund on my shipping. don't order anything from these people unless you want a big hassle with everyone passing the buck on someone else.

by the way, i rarely do reviews and am not known to be a whiny person. i just don't want to see anyone going through the crap i just did for nothing.

I ordered a Britax car seat two weeks ago which was supposedly available to ship "next business day." I chose BabyAge.com because they had the best price and I had a coupon code for free shipping. Unfortunately, although they charged my credit card the day I ordered, I have yet to receive the car seat and BabyAge does not answer their phone or return any voicemail messages, nor do they reply to my numerous emails. Their customer service is deplorable. I would NOT recommend this company to anybody. I am out $170 and have NO CAR SEAT. Next time I'll spend the extra $10 and buy from a different company.

I think that my experience with them was fine. I live overseas so sometimes it takes a really long time to receive things that I have ordered on-line. That is my only complaint. But I don't really think that is a company's fault. I think that is the postal service.

I was very pleased with the price as well as the offer of BabyAge making a contribution to March of Dimes. I was also very pleased with the promptness in shipping my order. I had planned on purchasing these items somewhere else; however, either the shipping would take too long or the items were not available in the retail store. I came across BabyAge doing a search for these items on the Internet and was pleased with the prices. I was even more excited when I saw that the shipping would only take a day! I ordered my items Thursday morning and received them Friday afternoon. I couldn't believe how fast and easy the whole process was from online ordering and payment to the quick arrival of my items. The next time I need baby items, I will most certainly use BabyAge. I would also recommend BabyAge to my friends.

I was amazed by the level of service and the value of their shipping amount. Our state just required booster seats of children until to nine years old and I needed a safety-rated seat ASAP. The package was delayed a day in being delievered, because it was an evening delivery and needed a signature. I was not home that evening (I had anticipated an afternoon delivery), and the next evening almost missed the delivery again, but saw the fed-ex man just in time. He said that who ever was shipping these items were paying more for the evening deliveries. Anyway, I also never received an email with the estimated delivery date of my package...but all I had to do was contact babyage.com and within a couple of hours, I was emailed the tracking number and estimated day of delivery...Thank you, Megan Elliot
