terrible, rude customer service people, not going to shop here again

This was the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I received the wrong color in one item and the "baby blanket" I ordered (in the 'guess how much I love you' theme) felt like the valances I ordered, that is how scratchy they were. No mother would put it near their baby. The worst part is, I had to endure the 30% re-stocking fee even though I was completely unsatisfied with the merchandise. The company does not adhere to the idea that the customers' satisfaction is what is most important. It wasn't even as though I had just changed my mind...I was 100% disgusted with the quality and should have gotten a full refund. I would warn any of you who are reading this to NOT shop at BabyUniverse.com

They took my money as soon as I ordered but 4 weeks later still no product. I won't get my money back for another week after I canceled the order. Customer service is also lacking. The hold times are excessive and they don't answer emails.

Purchase and delivery are ok. BUT, the customer service totally sucks!!! BabyTV.com once had a promotion of giving cash back of $50 on purchase of $200 made through babyuniverse.com. I made a qualified purchase of $250 within required time period, and mailed out all the required documents. 3 months later, I called to track my cash back and was told they never received my submission and won't issue the cash back by all means even I re-mail all the documents. Anyway, their customer service sounds that they don't care what a customer would think about them in such a situation.
So, if you shop from BabyUniverse.com without any trouble like delivery delay, cash back delay, wrong order, etc., you're fine. Otherwise, their will for sure drive you mad. All you're gonna hear is "I'm sorry, I can't..."
I won't shop there any more no matter how attractive their prices are.

Baby Universe is okay unless you are in a hurry to get your item

I purchased a Halo Sleep Sack and paid extra for two day delivery. I ordered it over the weekend and expected it would be shipped out on Monday. It wasn't. I was surprised when it was obviously I wanted it in a hurry. Instead it was shipped out Tuesday afternoon. It may not seem like a big deal but in an age where other Internet merchants are offering same day or 24 hour processing, I've come it expect it from nearly everyone.
When I sent an email stating that I expected it to be sent out on Monday, I got the standard, "well our policy is blah, blah, blah". Of course this went over like a lead balloon.

I ordered a Maclaren stroller from BabyUniverse.com last Saturday and it was delivered to my house the following MONDAY! The item arrived directly from the manufacturer which may have contributed to the speedy shipping.

Wonderful online store with great integrity. I purchased a stroller from them many months ago and didn't care for it. When I attempted to return it immediately, Baby Universe allowed me to return this stroller with no questions asked. Then, a week ago, I ordered another stroller and it arrived very quickly. The item was shipped out immediately and only took a few days to arrive. Customer service at this store is fantastic.

I ordered a matching car seat, stroller, pack n play and diaper bag all at the same time. The price was MUCH cheaper than anywhere else. The only thing is that after I ordered, I saw that it had to be ordered from the manufacturer. (They had my question in their FAQs) Well, this only took three days longer to get it, so in about 7 days, it was sitting at my doorstep! Fed Ex was also right on time. Good job Baby Universe for keeping prices down and especially shipping - I received all of those items and paid only $6.95 shipping for the whole order!!!

We ordered a high chair through BabyUniverse. Two weeks later we called to check on the order status and, after holding for 20 minutes on the phone, were told that they "just fund out that the high chair was out of stock." Yeah, right.

Placed an order through Amazon - painless. However - they never shipped my product. Since they don't offer online order status I called for an update. They told me one warehouse was out of stock so the order transferred to another warehouse. The 'new' warehouse wouldn't respond to the customer service reps request for a status so she basically told me she had no idea when or even if my product would ship. They happily cancelled my order for me without any concern that they had mishandled it.

I places an order on 9/19. One item was on back order and received 16 days late. I had to do the research to find out where my items was. They never contacted me to tell me the item was on back order. I left 5 messages with TMS, Baby Universe's answering service. I left messages because EVERYBODY is in staff meetings Thurs until 2pm Eastern Time. Customer Service is the worst I have ever dealt with on-line or in brick and mortar stores. I was told they don't have a customer service policy, just be rude and collect peoples money. I will never do business with Baby Universe and you shouldn't either. I also found my items cheaper at Target.

This is the WORST internet shopping experience I have ever had and it is not over. I would caution anyone from dealing with this company. I get the feeling it is run out of someone's garage. First, be careful ordering anything remotely related to "bedding" as there is a 30% restocking fee if you are not happy with your purchase. You never receive ANY paper work/receipt with your order and must call them to request to return an item. I ordered curtains that were advertised as being 84" long and 30" wide. They arrived 5 weeks later and were 30" long and 84" wide. Initially, they told me that I would have to pay the restocking fee. I refused as the problem is with their website description. They then said FedEx would pick up and only then would I receive a credit. That was 4 weeks ago! I am still waiting for them to pick up the box on my porch and I have called numerous times to complain. The last wait time just to talk to customer service was more than 20 minutes!!!
UGH! Please -- shop somewhere else! These people are crooks!

I a still waiting for part of my order. I can't say if I am satis fied with service or products yet. I did receive the cd I requested and that is fine. So based on delay in receiving and no e-mail as to the expected DOD I can only report a fair. I am sure I will try your company again, but I can't it will be ver soon.

The overall service was good. I work for a non-profit organization and wanted to purchase items for one of the first time moms I work with. I received her item in a timely manner and in good condition. My only disappointment was the baby carrier I wanted going out of stock or discontinued.

It has been 1 week since I placed my order and I have not received a confirmation of shipping or tracking number yet. I emailed the company and got a response saying it takes 3-5 days to process and then I get an email. It's been 7 and nothing yet. Not impressed! Would not buy from again.

My merchandise was delivered within days of ordering. The estimated time was 5-7 business days from ordering and it arrived within 3 business days. I thought the ordering process was simple, the product was great and I will definitely use babyuniverse.com again in the future.
