DO NOT SHOP HERE!!

TERRIBLE!
I ordered my stroller form them TWO Weeks ago and it has yet to ship. I have called there 5 times and all anyone can tell me is that they are waiting for tracking numbers from the manufacturer. They charged my credit card right away so they have had my money for 2 weeks and have not sent my merchandise. They told me that the people at the combi manufacturer were at a trade showw last week so their orders are backed up... I find this a little hard to believe... every employee was at the show??
I told them I wanted to cancel my order and they said they would put in a request but it could take up to 24 hours to recieve comfirmation from the manufacturer. We'll see if I ever get my money back from these crooks!
I heard they are the now working with amazon.com since Babies R Us jumped ship... they better straighten up their act or they're going to give amazon, a reputable company, a bad name!!!

I am extremely disappointed with Baby Universe. They shipped the wrong items to me and then could not correct the situation in the amount of time I needed it corrected. I would not shop here again, and I would recommend no one else shop here again.

Pretty decent, Great price, No complaints

I ordered two Britax seats. One was out of stock as was stated on the website. However, I got the first seat in a very timely matter. The second was shipped on day stated on the web site...so I have no complaints. FedEx almost lost the second seat, but that was taken care of the following day and now I have both seats and am very happy. Customer service was polite when I called about the FedEx issue.

I placed an order online for a lightweight stroller. Baby Universe had a great selection, with very competitive prices. When I purchased my stroller they also had a free shipping offer. I was able to place my order easily, receiving many e-mails afterwards updating me as to the status of my order. My stroller arrived promptly (even during the holiday shipping season) and in excellent shape. The description of the stroller matched exactly to the product that I received. I also appreciated the customer reviews of the products--they helped me decide what product would be right for my needs. I would definitely order from them again!

Horrible-very quick to take your money

I ordered a crib mattress at Baby Universe, I was told it would be shipped out with 2-3 business days. 5 business days later, I checked my order online and saw that they had charged my credit card. BUT, the mattress status was still "waiting to be shipped". I contacted them and was told that this mattress was not in stock, and that they did not have a redelivery date from the manufacturer for any time soon! I wish they would have informed me at the time of purchase, as I didn't have an unlimited time frame to wait (baby on the way). They did not credit my card right away, even though I asked to cancel the order. They said they would have to wait to get confirmation from the manufacturer. I do not like at all that they were very quick to charge my card (most companies charge you when the item is shipped out) and that now I have to wait for approval to get a credit, and I am still waiting!!! This is ridiculous, and I would never shop there again.

Worst online buying experience ever!!!

The worst online buying experience I've ever had. I purchased a fairly expensive car seat. I had to constantly check in Baby Universe's website for a status that never changed. I never got any updates nor any email confirmations. I finally called to check on my order. Someone answered my call immediately but was put on hold for 9 minutes (my phone has a clock) to get a response regarding my order. I was finally told that my order had not shipped and it takes up to 10 business days to process the orders. I ordered a similar item at another online store and I already have the item I bought. The only reason I used Baby Universe to begin with was because I had a gift certificate.

Website said product would be delivered in 7-10 days. Ordered on February 11th at Midnight and received product on February 21st. Would order from them again.

Slow Delivery, Poor Customer Service

Bought a stroller, the site showed "ground transit time" 5 days. after 10 day, I called and found out it's just been shipped.
The customer service is argumentative and try to blame me for not understanding that the 5 days meant "processing time" , and that it's still "on time".
I email them about this, and they replied with the same attitude: no appology, no intent to improve their site so other customer won't be confused; just being defensive.
That kind of customer service is what I would avoid when ordering online - what if something wrong with the product? would they just try to blame me for it and not to take any responsibility?

They are not a reputable merchant. Period. I made a purchase through shopping.com for a double snap and go on September 1st. I didn't hear from them, but the payment went through. When I called on September 6, they said that they didn't have an order for the item, just the payment and they refused to process the order. Their point of view is that if there is a software problem, it is up to the customer to solve it.

Great experience with ordering the Maclaren Twin stroller. As promised, promptly received order confirmation number and tracking number. The (free!!) shipping was amazingly fast -- within one week of order received the stroller flawless and neatly packaged. Would definitely use this seller again and would recommend it to others.

I ordered a fisher price papasan cradle swing. I received an email the next day saying it was out of stock and I opted to wait. couple days later on checking their site I noticed the price had gone up more than double. That same day I discovered the purchase had been refunded to me with out any notification from them. Later I found out that they were refusing to honor that purchase price as it was mispriced.
I will never shop with them and will pass the word around about their dishonest dealings.

Baby Universe NOT more like Headache Universe

I was looking to buy the Combi - cosmo DX - Chocolate and keylime online I really like the colors and it's hard to find in stores so I search to see where I could get the best deal and my search lead me to BabyUniverse.com the stroller with shipping no tax would be a total of 107.94.I order it on 9/14/06. I waited for my tracking number never got one. I did get the stroller on 9/21/06 WRONG STROLLER I call cancel my order ask my CC be refunded. It's 9/26/06 and waiting for the stroller to be picked up Fedex. I order the same stroller for HappyMothers.com on 9/24/06
for $113.00. I received a tracking number on 9/25 and today it's 0n FedEx vehicle for delivery.

Cheap Prices. Cheap Service. What Delivery?

My order was promply shipped, but yet to be delivered. Customer service(CS) was a disservice, and I doubt they'll have any more of my business. BU's product selection was decent, but they do need to work on their attitudes at customer service. AND they need to work things out with FedEx, because I sense major disorganization in that area.
The only reason I would not recommend this site to a friend is because of their CS issues and their lack of concern for the customers. I ordered a Britax Marathon car seat and it's over 5 days late. The tracking number on the FedEx site is no help. This is because in the last update on my Britax, it was departed from the FedEx location in Orlando, but has yet to make it to Saint Louis? I have no idea what the issues are but at this rate they'll never make Forbes list.
Just save your time. If you can find it at babyage or dreamtimebaby, get it there.

Placed order on Oct. 4, for Halloween costume. As of Oct. 17, order had still not been shipped. Called customer service department twice, was told both times, I would be contacted within 48 hours by e-mail on the status of my order. I was never contacted. I e-mailed the customer service department and was never e-mailed or called back. No one in customer service could tell me when the item would be shipped. Interesting the company doesn't know when they will be shipping my costume, but they have had no problems charging my credit card on Oct. 4. I would never buy from this company again. They give zero customer service.

The Single Best Shopping Experience Ever!

My wife and I decided on a crib we wanted to buy. We found it available online at both Target and Baby Universe. The price of the crib was identical, but Target was going to charge tax and another $70 for shipping and handling. Baby Universe did not charge tax, offered shipping and handling for only $6.95 and, when I asked the Baby Universe representative on the phone if any other discounts were available, I was given an additional 10% of the price of the crib! I save approximately $100 going with Baby Universe instead of Target.
Now for the most impressive part...I was told the order could take up to two weeks to process and then to allow another 5-7 days for shipping.
TWO DAYS AFTER I PLACED THE ORDER THE CRIB ARRIVED AT MY HOME BY FEDERAL EXPRESS!!!
I have never been so impressed when making a purchase as I was by Baby Universe.

My credit card was charged for a purchase and I received the order 4 weeks later. My aunt ordered a carrier with express delivery (so that she can give it to me for my shower) It was a week late. Great products - awful shipping.

Prduct was routed to Califonia and delivered. We live in Virginia. After three phone calls to customer service it was finally delivered to our address. Great price on the car seat, they just failed miserably in delivering the product to us.

The website is hard to navigate. When you put an item in the basket and continue shopping, you cannot return to the exact place you were at, therefore you are required to perform a search all over again if you want related items.

I loved this store. I bought my car seat knowing it was out of stock, but they said it would be in stock in about 1 week. So I ordered it and they shipped it way before it was even due in stock. And I got it 4 days later! Great store!
