I ordered a few books from BN.com. They are a great site especially if you live or work in Manhattan.

First off, they offer free shipping over $30. Since most hardcover books are an average of $24.99 in the stores, you don't have to buy unwanted things to hit your mark of $30.

I bought a book with a cover price of $17.99, and added a paperback new release for $14.99 to reach my free shipping price.

The reason I mention Manhattan is because they offer same day delivery in Manhattan for most of their inventory. This is a great thing. To be able to order something either the night before, or before 11am and have it in your hands the same day is awesome. Not that I am lazy, but in this world of everything being at our fingertips, this is just another added convenience.

Store is fairly easy to navigate and makes giving gifts on short notice easy. I had my gift giftwraped and mailed to my father on time. I don't like the ad emails I get and had to remember my password and sign in to stop them, it should just have an opt out link in the email.

The worst customer service I have ever received. Ordered and paid for 4 books. Received 2 after a reasonable amount of time. Send email to provider of remaining 2 books as instructed by Barnes & Noble. Never received a reply. Send Barnes & Noble service an email and then received 4 different emails with 4 different dates when I would receive the books. Each date delayed receipt until I finally asked for a refund. Was told I would get a refund but instead got another email stating that "well we may say 4-14 business days for receipt but we really mean at least 20 business days. If you don't receive by then, let us know." To date, have not received books or refund. Will never, ever use this service again when they rely on other book stores to provide their books and they have no control.

I love Barnes & Nobles! Its one of the best sites, I've always liked the store, and glad that they have available for me to get my reading done.

Very disappointing service from Barnes & Noble.com.  Order took 4 extra days to ship then told at time of order and shipping was twice as long as promised.  When I emailed to let them know, they responded with an email telling how to track the package.  Other online retailers (such as Amazon) that I have used let you know when there are going to be delays and let you cancel the order.  Barnes and Noble never gave me that option.

it's a helpful site! and the books are almost always in stock.sometimes the website is alittle slow. deilvery time is about average. costomer service could be better.

What I love about B&N is their used books feature> I have found several rare and out of print books with ease as you basically are searching all over the country for that special book or novel> Better than Amazon in that respect. Amazon is great for selection and service as well.

Went to bookstore, and bought instore books in November. Out of stock items were ordered at the store. Told I had to pay for them in advance because they were considered special order. Did that. They sent email stating that items were shipped out, about a week later. Rec'd two of the items within a few weeks from that, third item told was backordered, and would not be shipped until after Christmas. This was not relayed to me until a week before Christmas. Called customer service and they told me to call the store that I purchased them at for refund and cancellation. Called store and was told that it was a Barnes&Noble.com issue. Had to go to a rude manager who told me it would take up to three weeks to process refund. Canceled order and went to amazon site. Rec'd book in three days without paying extra shipping. Price was even cheaper than Barnes & Noble. Learned valuable lesson, and they have lost a customer.

The availability of what I was looking for was very good and the shipping time was faster than I expected. I was pleased with the variety they offered.
The shipping cost however was not correct and much higher than the actual cost. They charge you quoting a media rate but charge double the amount of the actual shipping cost. I would look elsewhere and resort to Barnes and Noble last when possible.

AHHHHH! I am so frustrated. My mom ordered some books and movies for my daughter's birthday. She ordered them on 9/12. They were received at my house on 9/16. She ordered early because in the past she has had problems with orders not going through online. This order went through fine and was received on time. My daughter opened her books and movies on her birthday, 10/15. Turns out that she already has Madagascar. I called Barnes and Noble and explained the situation..but they have a 14 day return policy!!!! That's it! No exceptions. I am stuck with two copies of this movie! 

I love buying my books at Barnes & Noble.com. Everything was delivered as promised. Secure, great packaging, and super quick shipping. I always get exactly what I want, when I want it. No order mix-ups, no extra fees. The representatives emailed me in under 5 hours with polite and kind responses. I always and definitely recommend this store to all my close friends and family.

the barnes and nobles online store was very well organized and made finding whatever material you're looking for a sitch. very thought out search server and quite hard to get lost in.

Placed an order on August 10.  It isn't scheduled to ship until August 13.
This is slow service.  Called customer service to voice my dissatisfaction
and received no reasonable explanation.  I will not be ordering from Barnes & Noble again.

Barnes & Noble.com or bn.com is a store I frequent. I belong to their reader's advantage club and find their online store excellent. I know that if the store in my home town doesn't have what I need, the website will.

The last book I bought was purchased with great ease and was delivered in just under a week. I am very satisfied with Barnes & nobel.

Delivery time was excellent. I have ordered from B&N several times with no problems whatsoever. This store has an enormous selection of books and reasonable prices. Their service is excellent and I am very satisfied with this company.
