I returned a product to Comp-U-Plus within the 30 day window indicated in their return policy. I did everything per their website in my return. A few days later I get an email stating that I was getting a refund for 30% less than what I paid for my product. The answer I received: "If a refund is requested within the allotted time frame, we will refund your account for the current selling price, if lower." I had a my confirmation, I returned the product within the 30 days and now I get less money back. This is an example of poor business ethics. BUYER BEWARE!

BEWARE: very deceptive returns policy. Many electronic items cannot be returned if they are opened.


I bought an internal DVD disk burner and when I installed it and realized it would not work, I was informed of the fact that the drive was not returnable.

None of the text on the check out screen warned me of this fact.

Comp-U-Plus gouges overseas service members on shipping cost. They tried to charge me for a service that the government provides me for free.
APO shipping means that the government picks up the cost of shipping from the US port to the soldier's station. The shippers only pay the price to the port (in this case, the shipper and the port were in NY)

I researched digital cameras and decided on a Nikon Coolpix 5200. Searching the web for price and availability I checked out COMP-U-PLUS and found they had a very low price and were located in nearby Brooklyn, NY (I live in NJ). I ordered it on the Monday before Christmas, and yes I paid $14.95 for 2 day shipping. The camera arrived the NEXT DAY! In perfect condition exactly the model I ordered. So great price, lightening fast shipping and exactly what I ordered. Highly recommended!

They are liars.
They charged me for a Second Day Delivery, it's been already 3 days and the item has not been shipped.
Customer service - SUCKS! They don't work Fridays, Saturdays and open at 10am on other days.
I sent them an email 4 days ago - still waiting for response.
I would never shop with this store and strongly don't recommend others.

I ordered Canon Powershot A70 digital from this provider.
The salespersons in the phone were very polite, and did not try to sell me anything else besides what I wanted.
They told me that the camera will be delivered in the next day and that I will get them by 4 days to my home.
In fact I got it to my home in the next day, in excellent condition!

Amazing. I ordered canon printer yesterday and it's already at home today with constant email update. I used regural ground shipping with no extra cost. I ordered and after taking all my info then the confirmation email tells me they are on vacation for over a week and it wont be shipped until they get back. It is the last week of April! No warning until after they take your money. Just be careful and maybe call first to make sure someone is there.

I made a purchase from compuplus just after christmas with free shipping. It went very well.

I went back the next week and they attempted to charge me an outragious amount for shipping then I found spyware on my computer from them.

The shipping rates are inflated to cover the low prices on their merchandise. I paid for FedEx 2nd Day shipping and the product was shipped 2 days after I ordered it - meaning I received the product 4 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE ORDER. Their customer service number is ALWAYS busy and is long distance and has limited hours. I will not deal with this company ever again....too shady for my tastes.

I want to congratulate you for your prompt service and great prices. I am very happy with Nikon. I must admit, that when I placed the order I had mixes feelings about ordering from out of the State stores. Needless to say I was wrong. As soon as I placed the order, I got an email stating my order number. The following day I received another email with the FedEx tracking number. And finally the day after, I received my camera.

Great price on the Treo 600, but Comp-U-Plus failed to inform me when I ordered the phone October 17 that the company was shutting down completely until October 27. No information about this on their website. And I paid extra for 2-day shipping--d'ya think I needed the phone in a hurry?

I was somewhat apprehensive about using Comp-u-plus after I had read the reviews but I ordered through them because the price was very good. The experience was great! The ordering was very easy, they gave me updates via email, and I got it on time. What more can you ask? Job well done.

Bought a TomTom One GPS through Shopping.com, which ultimately came from Comp-U-Plus. I ordered it a Monday evening, received it Thursday! Great service, and best price to boot! Will shop there again.
