Please be aware of something serious that DVD Planet is doing. They sign you up for something called "Reservations Rewards" and in doing so, charge your credit/debit card $10 a month WITHOUT sending you an email confirmation. I had bought something back in Feb of 08 and I wasn't aware of this charge until I perused thru my bank statements this week.
Also, tried to purchase a couple of DVD's last month only to get an email that my selections had been discontinued (but they were still on the web site).
I know the web site/company was recently purchased by someone else (they used to be called "Digital Eyes.com") and now since the name change, the customer service and overall service is crap. You will have better luck ordering from Amazon.com

Ordered for first time with DVD planet. Had what I wanted at the best price shipped and delivered in the time stated in the web sight. NO problems would use again. It is also better to deal with a sight that has a phone number you can call if a problem should arise.

I ordered a product on November 6th. Not only did they charge me $79.99 (instead of the invoiced $69.99), the product has not arrived as of Dec 9th.

Buyer Beware!!!

This is one of the best places online for DVDs. Prices are reasonable as is the shipping. Shipment is quick. Customer service is great! Inventory is huge, and there are often promotions to save more money.

One thing I really like about the site is the wish list, where you can store and access what's already available and what's coming in the next three or four months.

It's the first place I head when I want to buy a DVD.

My Husband found this online shop and placed an order (quite an expensive one I might add).  The confirming email from the store was for a set of DVD's completely different from what our order was and my husband replied immediately to advise of this error.  When the dvd's were delivered we discovered that we did not receive what we had ordered, so we now have a complete set of dvd's that we do not want, with no way to exchange them for our correct order and of course no refund or recourse.  My Husband and I were very disappointed.

After three weeks the company realised it's error and sent an email apologising for the mistake and advising that they would be sending the correct order asap.  To our great surprise we received our order a few days later.  We never expected to hear from DVD Planet Online Store again and would like to thank them for rectifying their mistake at their own expense.

I would recommend the online store but would also caution buyers to take care with all orders.

Ordered Dec.10 guaranteeing delivery by Christmas. Product has yet to arrive (DEcember 31) and no return of my e-mails. Other sites also question their legality. I will try to get my credit card company to help me fight this. Do not use them!!
