I wanted to buy a camera and have it sent to my nephew as a graduation gift. There was NO WAY that I could make the on line ordering system do that. The help function was of no help. I had to cancel and reenter the order after several attempts. I finally just gave up and had the cameras sent to my home. Although a customer service rep. is trying to speed up the process, my computer was order July 20, 2009 and the anticipated delivery date is August 17, 2009. That date was given to my after I called to complain about the August 21st anticipated delivery. I do not feel that my order was that difficult that it should take this long to produce. I am very dissatisfied with service. I have considered cancelling the order, but I am trying to give Dell the benefit of my doubt. Read more

The experience was quite good for the first time shopping for Dell products online. I was able to research a few selection of laptops, and I was ablw to pick the one that wasa suitable for my needs. I know it will take a while for the laptop to be constructed, processed, completed, and shipped. I just cannot wait to see the new laptop that I have invested my time and money in. I would like to thank Dell for offering the Inspiron 15 laptop, and I hope that it will be a great asset for me in the upcoming fall semester of college to complete my work in a timely fashion and with great quality. If I had to make a suggestion to other customers, I would recommend Dell computer or computer products to enhance their business or school work productivity! Read more
The original computer, which was from an E-value code, was saved in my cart and had a clear exp. date, which I checked several times. One day BEFORE it was set to expire, I tried to order and their system said it was no longer valid. After speaking with a sales rep, he tried, but said he was unable to honor it. I believe this was a programming error on Dell's part, which was corrected sometime after it was in my cart. It should have been honored. If this item wasn't for someone else, I would have ordered elsewhere. Read more

I was forced to deal with all the ignorance and attitudes and indifference of all but the last person that finnally got my order through. The biggest problem is the delay in shipping. Dell web site said that product shipping time is 3 to 5 days. Then e-mail said that it will take 18 days. What kind of bullshit is that where at time of purchase a 3 to 5 days shipping time is promised and once purchase is completed it is extended to 18 days. I could just as well have bought same product from Amazon with lower cost and faster delivery. Dell better get its act together. Read more

I got 2 automated phone calls. I WAITED a couple minutes for a real person to answer the first one because I thought they had questions or needed to validate the order. All I got was some guy trying to sell me more stuff. This was a waste of my time and really made me ANGRY. Then the next day I got an automated call, just like the first. I hung up.
I'm sure folks will continue to buy more stuff this way, but it stinks. Read more
