I was very disappointed with the expected delivery time of the PC I ordered. Your own surveyor seems to think it is too long as well, since I received the survey concerning the delivery of the PC more than two weeks before the PC is scheduled to be delivered. Read more

Their pathetic customer dis-service team in India only works off scripts...no independent thinking or true customer service passion. The rep had NO idea what she was doing, another rep told me that I was talking to a 'Senior Customer Service Representative' but she also never tried to solve the problem. And, a customer service manager also called and he spent all his time working off a script to apologize for my troubles, but he NEVER tried to find out what was wrong or offer to fix the problem. If the service is that bad on the front-end, just think what you'd run into if/when you have a problem after delivery. Shame on you Dell for sending jobs overseas just to save a buck, but the real tragedy is that your India staff is not getting it done and you lost my order for a $1,100 laptop. I will tell everyone to avoid Dell like the plague.

Although a customer service rep. is trying to speed up the process, my computer was order July 20, 2009 and the anticipated delivery date is August 17, 2009. That date was given to my after I called to complain about the August 21st anticipated delivery. I do not feel that my order was that difficult that it should take this long to produce. I am very dissatisfied with service. I have considered cancelling the order, but I am trying to give Dell the benefit of my doubt. Read more

Order processing gave wrong shipment dates. Requested 2 day delivery - system showed 3 weeks before shipment for an off the shelf item. Called customer service to confirm order would ship immediately and, after a 20 minute conversation with someone who could barely understand English, never got and answer that made any sense. Placed order anyway, hoping for the best, but order system showed tracking data and shipping information "unavailable". Details said shipping data would be posted 3 days after shipment - not much help on a 2 day delivery order. Luckily order did arrive in 2 days but carrier, scheduled delivery date, and other tracking information was never available. By pure luck someone was home to receive the order otherwise we'd still be trying to find out where the shipment was. For a computer company Dell certainly doesn't use much computerized technology in it's order system. Read more

I tried to use their on line chat support, was disconnected 5 times before anyone ever came on line. The lag time between my question and their answer was so long I had trouble figuring out what answers went with the appropriate question. I know the lag time to India is bad, but it shouldn't be this bad. Read more
