worst online store ever. Made up rules.

Dicks online is the worst store I have ever ordered from and I promise I will never order again from. I purchased a product for a Christmas present at the end of OCT. My daughter opened the gift and it was the wrong size. by Jan 1 I mailed the item back at my expense and 49 days later I get the box returned because I wasnt in the 30 day window to return it? I call and they argue that I had 30 days I shouldnt have started shopping so early. Nothing they would do no return, no refund, no exchange, nothing. I was stuck with the shoes and told to call the manufacturer to get a refund? WTF is that? Their site says satisfaction guaranteed. HAHa...

Poor return policy and will not buy from again.

My wife purchased a gift and found out that item would not work with my bike. Called to get information to return, but it was past 30 days, so could not return. Dick's did offer to allow return, but would only give 20% of the original price plus $7 in shipping, thus offered $18 for a $53 item. Will try to never buy from them again.

SHIPS DAMAGED GOODS AND HIDES YOUR MONEY

After the last six weeks of being on the phone with the customer no service department, I am completely done with this organization. They packed and shipped me a golf club with a broken shaft(the box was in perfect condition on arrival).Now six weeks after my return of the damaged item I still haven't received a refund, store credit, or a new club, any of which would have satisfied me. I have spoken to 3 different Customer Service Reps and 2 different Supervisors. All of them assured me that this would be taken care of in 5-7 more days. How Many more 5-7 days will this company hide my money from me?

Unsatisfactory

Purchased a Perfect Pullup unit about a year ago. Using it recently and one of the handles snapped in half. Fortunately, it didn't lead to an injury. Called Dick's Sporting Goods located in DeWitt New York only to be told that they had a 90 day return policy and I also needed the receipt. I have spent a lot of money there and I was surprised that they wouldn't budge from their policy - especially since I only wanted a replacement of a part that snapped in half as I was using it which could have led to an injury. In addition, no matter when I go into this branch of Dick's there always is a long line. I will take my business elsewhere. I suggest trying Sport Authority.

I ordered a pair of Steiner Military/Marine 10x50's. Order said it was in stock and ready to ship. Waiting on tracking number being sent via e-mail. That never happened. Waited a week and then was told they cancelled the order because they made a mistake on pricing. Called customer service and was given the run around. Was told I would get an answer in 72 hours!! Not Binoculars, no service, no satisfaction. Blamed it all on Steiner......All Dick's orders are drop shipped!!! They put a hold on my money for a week and it was unavailable to me to go somewere else to purchase. How many other errors are on thier web site and will cause a long delays do they have? Run don't walk away from this online scam. Was told I could re-place my order and wait another week and see if it would be filled?

Good experience with ordering process

After reading many poor reviews on Dick's Sporting Goods Customer Service, I was hesitant to order from them, but wanted the Coleman Linden 8 tent which apparently is made exclusively made for them. I needed it in a relatively short time frame (10 days) so I bit the bullet and ordered. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in good condition as advertised 4 days after I'd ordered it. Although I've not had to deal with any issues with them, the ordering and delivery process went flawlessly and am please with the service and product.

I will never shop here again... I fond an instore deal on some paint for a paintball gun... They redirected me online saying that the same deal was there... not only was it not, but they wanted to charge me 10 dollars for shipping... I went back to the store and told the very same representative and she said she never talked to me and would never had said that... I ended up ordering a Paintball mask offline... $10 shipping and it took almost a month to get here... What did I pay 10 dollars for? Them to walk it here?
Very dissatisfied... I don't know how Dicks is still in business...

Horrible. Customer Service should be called We Just Like Your Money, Not You!

If you are considering buying a product from Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store(DSGOS), all I can suggest is ....RUN AWAY! All kidding aside, I ordered a rowing machine from this company over a month ago and because of a missing part not yet received and horrible customer service, I am still unable to use the machine.
I realize that the actual company (Spartan) is to blame for the missing part, but DSGOS's customer service is dispicable. After being misinformed when ordering the missing part (CSR told me I would receive it via FedEx overnight when in fact it is being delivered USPS ground), I called back to inquire to its whereabouts and apparently bothered the CSR rep with my questions causing her to hang up on me, which as anyone knows is a great way to satisfy your customers! I've since called back only to be told I would have to wait another day or two just to hear back from them as to where the package is. Somehow I doubt that DSGOS would tolerate my missing payment as well as they've expected me to handle this fiasco.
