Absolutely Horrible

Tried placing an order online when website went haywire.
Called customer service about problem and eventually placed the order with the representative. Was unable to redeem a $10
reward certificate. Called back a few hours later to check on the order and see if the reward certificate good be put towards the order total and was told "no". I asked to cancel the order and start over, placing a new order to make sure that I would get the $10 reward certificate discount and was told that this couldn't be done. I was always told their standard reply that "it is already in the system". Will never shop at Dick's again. Spent about one hour on the phone with three different reps with no results.

Worst Customer Service Experience of My Life!

I have never written a review on epinions, but thought that this experience warranted doing so. Dick's Sporting Goods online service has been by far the WORST customer service experience of my life. The product was damaged, shipping was slow, customer service did not respond to any emails or phone calls, still waiting for a response/refund, etc. etc. etc. To make a long story short, they did not treat me well at all and I will not be shopping with them again in the future. I URGE you NOT to buy from Dick's!!!!

Snail mail delivery. Poor customer service

Very slow delivery. Uncaring customer service reps. Would rather cancel my order than help find a solution. Item said in stock, the truth is it comes from the manufacture and they don't know anything about the products or their location. Would also be nice to know that an item is an online exclusive.

DICK's did it again........

Ordered online a pair of golf shoes on sale (No S/H) and received on time. I even called customer service (CS)to verified before submitting my order was told those were the shoes I wanted. Without any further due, I place my order. However, it was shipped something else. So I called CS and they said "too bad" that was the shoes I had ordered. So I went online and found out those shoes that I wanted were out of stock. So maybe its another way to fulfilled their year end sale. This was just another way of getting people like myself to suck up their deal. The lesson here is "Never buy something online that are on sale" especially coming from DICK's Sporting Goods" Now I understand why they called themselves "DICKs" so that customers can suck up their merchandise. Be careful when dealing with them. I should read some of the unhappy customers comment before buying from them.

NOT WORTH THE HASSLE

Showed item available. Then received email that it would be 11-14 days to leave the warehouse. Called Customer Services to cancel and was told they could not guarantee item would not be shipped. THESE PEOPLE CAN'T GET IT RIGHT, AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Received biking shorts as a gift. The shorts are described online to make you believe they have thick padding in the seat. They have near no padding. I am now told that they do not accept exchanges period. Basically, I now have to pay to ship my gift back to them and end up with nothing. Very poor product description and very bad return/exchange policy.

The worst, by far, online shopping experience I have encountered

After receiving an incorrect jacket via an online order, promptly contacted Dick's by phone and mailed letter. They pledged to get me the correct one and send it to me. More than 5 weeks later, have not received the jacket, though repeated calls and emails have resulted in Dick's personnel telling me that they are still vigilantly making checks with their warehouse! Ultimately received a refund.

Negative shopping experience.

Avoid shopping at Dick's... Add 2 days shipping to any order even it you chose overnight shipping. It takes 2 days for any product to leave the warehouse according the customer service. I have yet to receive my order that I paid 3 days shipping for 5 days after the order was placed. It took 2 days for the order to be processed that was placed in the morning. I called customer service and was basically told it would be 3 days shipping but took 2 days to ship. To the customer that looks like 5-7 days shipping not 3-5.

Beware Dick's online site.
Email gift certificates CANNOT be redeemed in store....read fine print.
Web site is quirky. I tried to order a gift card and didn't get to final screen. Checked email one hour later...no email confirmation.
Ordered another card.
Next day had two order confirmations.
They would NOT allow me to return one of the cards.
I would be very careful if you choose to do business with this site.

Hello... I wanted to say that I'm very happy with the service I received from Dick's Sporting Goods. I ordered an elliptical on May 21, and received several email notifications on shipment status throughout the process. I received my elliptical on May 29. I actually wasn't expecting to receive it until the first week of June, so I was pleasantly surprised. Also, per the Silver Service Delivery, it was delivered as promised, to the room of my choice. Excellent service!

Don't buy anything from Dick's!!!!

Ordered a bowflex from Dick's. Come's in 5 boxes. 2 of the 5 boxes cancelled at shipping time. The other 3 show up. Customer Services says, 'we don't know what happened, we'll notify the warehouse'. Long story short, 5 calls later, they still don't know anything and haven't heard from this mythical "warehouse". Finally, the say let's pick up the 3 boxes delivered and just reorder. Stupid concept but I agree since they can't stick finger in butt. I gripe enough that they "request" a 10% savings on the reorder (not garaunteed though!). Our CS girl says they see that this item is in stock and it should ship next day. I get an e-mail that this item has been back ordered! Next call to CS says, 'we don't know what happened'. Well duh! I don't think they care much about supporting their customers. Wait till I spread this all over the web....

I hate Dick's Sporting Goods

Dick's is terrible. Online gift cards cannot be used at stores and shipping takes forever. Returns must be done by mail and are very slow. Customer service is unhelpful and the ordering process is extremely frustrating. For example, when I tried to use a 20% coupon on my order, it automatically applied the discount to my $8 skate guards rather than my $150 skates. Thanks a lot!! But then when I tried to move the skate guards to a separate order in order to maximize the discount (who wouldn't?) I had to start the whole ordering process over again. Very frustrating. All in all an irritating and frustrating experience. Stay away!

The "NO" people.

My wife ordered a wetsuit. It didn't fit, so she decided to take it back to the local retail store. Turns out they won't accept returns made from Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store. (Why not?...every other major retailer does...) I call the phone number for customer service listed on the web site to plead my case and ask NOT to be charged for return shipping. They said no. So we end up paying $10 to try something on. What a waste. Won't do that again.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONLINE STORE!!
Placed a Christmas order on December 14th. The products were in stock and were supposed to ship within 1-2 FULL business days. No explanation as to why they were not shipping.... no one in the store can help with ANYTHING you do online.... customer service wait time to talk to a live person was never less than 50 minutes (called 3 times)... the ONLY email correspondence is an automated reply letter.... you cannot CANCEL the items (even though they have not shipped).... and I received the items today December 31st!!! Now I have to pay to return them since you cannot return in the store.
Sport's Authority is much easier to work with, and the same items were cheaper!!!

I am really surprised by the number of complaints concerning Dicks Sporting Goods. We have three children that are all heavily involved in athletics. Unfortunately we do not have a Dick's Sporting Goods close to our home yet so we shop their online store. We purchase most of our sporting goods and clothing from Dicks and have never had a bad experience. Our most recent purchase was a basketball hoop - the Lifestyle 79960. This was a large purchase. The day after I ordered I received an order confirm from Dicks. Later that day I received a call from the freight company requesting to schedule a deliver time for the following week. The product was to arrive in 7-10 business days according to Dicks. Our purchase arrived in 6 days and was in good shape. We have purchased heavily from Dick's and have very good fortune with their products and service. Great selection, best pricing, reasonable shipping costs and timely delivery - I cannot think of anything that could be improved in our experience.
