Order placed Nov 8th for Nov 9th delivery never arrived. Was told that the florist couldn't find the address on their GPS. Since this was a major street off a main boulevard I put the address into mapquest and it popped up instantly. FTD wouldn't give me the name of the florist they were using so I cancelled that and another order. I believe their name should be changed from FTD to FTP(failure to perform).

Beware!- Poor quality flowers and NOT as ordered..

BUYER BEWARE! I ordered several times from them. Of course most times you'll never see the flowers that were delivered. Well on this most recent occasion I had the chance to see what was delivered. NOT at all what I had ordered. I ordered colorful flowers in a glass vase. What I saw was unbelievable. Ugly, wilted and cheap flowers with sparkles on them in a brown woven basket! I was very embarrassed. How do you explain to the recipient that this what not what was ordered? I just wonder what the other flowers I ordered looked like.

I called FTD and was refunded 65% of the price- not their "shipping" charge though, which is about $12. They also offered to re-deliver the corrected order. But sending flowers is not something you can do over. I was very annoyed. Will not use them again.

I have relied on FTD.com many times when I was in a pinch. All the selections I sent arrived on time and were attractive. One time the container displayed online was not available at the local florist so I was promptly contact about a possible substitute container. I am very happy with the services of FTD.com and will continue to use this website.

Non-delivery. POOR Customer Service! Dishonest!

THIS COMPANY IS RIDICULOUS! I placed an order on April 5 for a May 14 Mother's Day Delivery using a gift certificate from e-rewards and my credit card. The evening of Mother's Day I received an email from FTD stating they were unable to deliver my order and were refunding my money, however, they would give me a $15 discount off my next order my clicking on an attached link. My credit card funds were returned but not my $25 gift certificate. So I complained and they told me I could reuse the $25 gift certificate on a future order but not with the $15 discount. This company obviously does not want to honor the $25 e-rewards gift certificate including not delivering an order made 6 weeks in advance and not allowing me to use their "generous" $15 non-delivery discount in conjunction with the gift certificate. All this hassle plus the fact that my mother -in-law did not receive anything for Mother's Day has certainly made my experience with FTD aggravating to say the least.

FTD failed to deliver and failed to explain what happened

FTD sent an email offer to order flowers for Mothers Day. I purchased flowers for delivery. The charge showed up on my credit card but the flowers were not sent. I contacted them as to why but a generic reply was sent stating that the order was canceled. I replied back saying that I never canceled and their argument didn’t make much sense because they had charged my credit card. I did not receive any reply back from them. The charge was just taken off my card with not so much as a sorry.

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, order from this website. I spent over $200 with them to have Mother's Day bouquets delivered to 3 different zip codes. I paid between $70-&80 for each arrangement. After I visited my respective Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, etc., I was horrified to see what looked like rinky dink arrangements for each recipient. My mother's was the worst. I had spent $60 on her arrangement of "deluxe" carnival tulips with floral vase plus a $15.00 delivery charge plus tax. I cannot describe my disappointment at seeing an arrangement that I would not even have spent $30 on.

I called the florists, and they say they are not beholden to what ftd.com promises and they hate FTD and have been asked to be removed from the website due to the utter lack of honest representation on the site.

I feel totally taken by FTD.com and am writing this while waiting on hold for a customer service representative. I've been on hold for 13 minutes now.

I will NEVER do this again. It would have been worth my time to call each florist individually as to save time by one-stop shopping on the FTD website.

I will keep this brief.

I ordered for Valentine's Day on Jan. 30th. 3 dozen roses. Valentine's day comes and the flowers weren't delivered until after 3pm, while everyone else in my wife's office (works in NYC) got theirs from FTD in the morning. Ok, so 3pm, a little late, but not worth complaining about.

Well 2 days later, her 3 dozen are wilted so I complained to FTD (through website because customer service is completely unreachable). I never had a response, but the florist called my wife to ask about dead flowers and arrange another delivery. My wife had to arrange for delivery of her own flowers! The 2nd delivery was made and 3 days later, same thing, roses are dead.

I paid $190 with delivery charge for 5 days worth of roses that came late and my wife had to do some of the work. Never again FTD. Never again.

Unbelievably Bad Service

I placed three Valentines Day orders with FTD (two with flowers, one without). The one without flowers got there on time, one of the flower orders was two days late, and the last flower order never showed up at all. When I called customer service about it they claimed they had sent an email about the order not being able to be filled on the 14th (why didn't they call?), which I did not receive (I checked the inbox and the junk mail filter, there was no email). Even if they had sent an email, why did they wait until the day it was supposed to be delivered. They said that the email they sent offered me 10% off, but why in the world would I use that when they couldn't even get the very first order I ever made with them right and never even informed me of that fact. In all my life, I have never seen such horrible service in any company!

Same experience as everyone else...ordered thru the Fails To Deliver website...no email confirmation...no delivery on Valentine's Day...filed report thru their customer service...no reply from customer service...just checked my amex statement and show a credit posted 2/21 for the full amount. I have a friend who had a better experience...they actually delivered the flowers albeit the day before Valentine's Day. He called to complain and was told that was an acceptable delivery date in their book. He asked if they were delivered the day after Valentine's Day if that would be acceptable and was told "yes".

FTD.COM is a horrible place to shop. I ordered flowers to be delivered, same day. I placed the order during the morning, and in the afternoon I wanted to know what the status was. I tried calling the 800 number, and was literally on hold for 35 minutes. And naturally they outsource this out to India. Mind you, this wasn't valentines day or anything out of the ordinary.

The flowers got there, but it wasn’t what I ordered. It had the roses, but it was missing the bow and the vase looked NOTHING like that in the picture. For something that cost $60, it looked nothing like what I wanted. Since I don’t have time to sit on hold for an hour, I sent a complaint (two complains actually), via their website, and almost a week later, nothing.

They have forever lost my business, and I will always make sure people don’t use them when asking for such service.

FTD SUCKS.

I ordered a dozen roses to be delivered for Valentine's day. They never arrived. After spending two hours on hold the day after, I arranged to have the Flowers delivered again. They never arrived. After spending 3 more hours on hold I was disconnected. After spending another 3 more hours on hold I was disconnected again. I only received a response via email after 3 days asking if I would like the flowers to be delivered again.

Avoid FTD.

Update 1:

I have had this problem at least addressed and
apologized for after going through the contact listed on
the Better Business Bureau web site. If you are having
these sorts of problems, skip the broken customer service
hotline and go this route. The contact there was
out-of-office, but gave names of people to contact instead
(but no email addresses). Their email system uses
[firstinitial][lastname]@ftdi.com, so you will be able to
get in touch with those people at those addresses.

Update 2:

The recipient received an apology call, but when the
flowers finally arrived (9 days late) half of them died
within 2 days.

Definitely F_orget T_hese D_orks.

FTD is horrible. It is now Feb. 20 2006 and I haven't gotten my order. I had no response from the company and was on hold for 25 minutes until I decided to hang up. My email remains unanswered. This will be the rirst and last time I place an order from this company. I hesitated taking the time to review FTD. However after reading people's responses, I found that I wasn't alone. I don't wish this to happen to anyone.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

HORRIBLE!

Ordered flowers for Valentine's day and received a confirmation that everything was good.

2 days after Valentine's day I called and they basically said, "Sorry, no one in your area was available...we'll refund your money." You would think someone would call or email me a day before or the day of to say they couldn't follow through with their service agreement. NO CALL or EMAIL from FTD.com.

I've never used such an incompetent website/service.

Next time I'm calling a local florist...it's cheaper and they actually deliver something or will tell you they can not.

Thinking of ordering flowers from FTD on-line?

STOP, don't do it. Get your fat butt up and drive (or walk) to the florist, take possession of your flowers and deliver them to your sweetie in person.

I ordered three dozen roses for my wife, but in the end all that was delivered was a charge to my credit card for $230.00.

FTD sucks. There I said it. I ordered three dozen roses on-line the day before Valentines Day and guess what...no roses but I did get the thorns. FTD stuck me with the charge. They charged my credit card even though the flowers were never delivered. In the end, it took five days, five emails and seven phone calls (almost two and a half hours on hold) but I finally got the chance to speak to a human being. Supposedly the charge will be removed shortly. I'll keep you posted. The customer service rep was very nice, but that sure as heck wasn't of any help at dinner on Valentine's Night.

UPDATE

I finally got my money back. Thank goodness.

Take my advice and do not waste your money here.

I met someone nice a couple of days before Valentine's day, so I had to place a last-minute order. I went to their web site on the 13th, which promised that they could deliver the next day, even the same day.

Nope. No flowers, no phone call, no email or anything. They just didn't bother to deliver them. And to find this out, I had to enter a request and wait for an email to arrive the next day.

This actually isn't much of a surprise, because their web site is pretty clunky. If you care at all about the flowers arriving at their destination, go somewhere else.
