Dealing with this company even by mail or by phone seems like a fraud! I ordered their ionic air purifier 5 months ago and it came without a component. I called and the missing piece came several weeks later. I tried working the unit and nothing happened. I called for help, and they said, "It is a gadget; tinker and play with it to figure it out. Try jiggling the electrical contacts."
Nothing worked, so I returned it, asking for a working replacement after waiting several weeks for a return form which they said that they would send me(The form never came, even after repeated requests for it, so I sent it back with a detailed letter). After not hearing anything for two months, I called and inquired about the unit. They claimed that they never received it. They finally told me that they would send me another one. That was three weeks ago.

It was very difficult to receive a refund on items returned even though I was assured by customer service on three separate calls that it will be done. Each time they severely questioned my return time period. I was always able to show them that, even though they were Christmas gifts, I was still able to return in the 30 day period from the original purchase. They were always friendly and assured me that the credit would appear in 48 hours. I monitored my account, but no refund. I am still waiting for refund to show up on my credit card account. Looks like another call will be needed.....wish me luck

Ordered a pair of shoes and promptly returned them in new, unworn condition. After several weeks of waiting for my refund, I called to inquire about the lack of response regarding my refund. Customer service agent was polite but completely ineffective. One week later, I called again and the customer service agent stated that she will mark my refund as "urgent". After another week, still no refund. Will never shop with this merchant again. The entire refund process smacks of consumer fraud. Compare their "customer noservice" practices with reputable web merchants which post your refund within days of receiving the returned merchandise. Shame on you, Gadget Universe!

Very poor customer service. Refused to replace defective item after sending 3 incorrect or defective items. Refused to send refund.

Horrible customer service. I suspect they lie and give me the run around to avoid having to ship a component that will make my bicycle work.
They give lame excuses like "We're still researching the product.. could you please call us to give us more information?" Give me a break. You guys are selling the product, you should know this stuff.
Or "Sorry, can't help you now. Our factory is closed today, we'll call you Monday."
Plausible deniability is a smart way to maximize profits. You can claim that you never lie, and are doing your best, while actually dancing around the issue and hope that it goes away.
