Guitar Center switched a replica vintage case and sent me a generic cheap case.

I purchased a Gibson Hummingbird True Vintage acoustic guitar, a high value $3,400.-- guitar. Gibson advertises the guitar on their site that it comes with a premium vintage replica case. I telephoned Gibson customer service who were very helpful, and they confirmed with Gibson Montana that the guitar came with a premium replica vintage case. The guitar arrived in good shape in a timely manner but in a generic cheap case that was too large for the guitar. When I spoke with customer service at Guitar Center there was not an apology, or an attempt to find the corect case for me. Instead I heard, " I have never heard of this happening before". It appeared they were questioning my integrity. I demanded a total refund of the the purchase which was not a problem. Educate yourself and know what you are purchasing for dealing with Guitar Center or Musicians Friend you may not receive what you pay for!

everything went well--fast service, beautiful instrument

I was really prepared for horrible service, but most of the stores besides guitarcenter also got bad reviews, so I just bit the bullet and ordered an Epiphone MM-30 mandolin and some strings--total $160 or so.
It came slightly faster than expected--only about 7 days--and everything was fine. The mandolin itself is beautiful. One tiny problem: the strings were really old and tarnished. I guess the mando had sat around in the warehouse for a long time. But I restrung it (it took thirty minutes since it was my first time stringing a mandolin) and it sounded great.
The packaging was good, and the ordering was smooth. I can't say what happened with other people, but I am really happy with them.

Horrible service, poor policies

I special ordered a set of headphones from my local Guitar Center, but four day later I noticed that my order was still only approved. I called customer service, they were very nice and said that the problem was their fault and they would fix it the same day (Thursday). Monday rolled around and the order status hadn't changed, so I called again and apparently they had entered my gift card # wrong, and my Guitar Center didn't have it in a safe like they are supposed to. Long story short, it took nearly a month to sort everything out, between calling, emailing, and visiting my local GC, but I'm finally back at square one: I have a gift card and no headphones. Everyone was nice, but no one was helpful. Never shopping at Guitar Center again.

I ordered a Schecter Stiletto Deluxe 4 Bass Guitar, a Guitar Strap, and a Bass Guitar Case online. All of the items came on time (according to online shipping information), and they were all in great condition. I will definitely come back to Guitar Center when I need to buy instruments or accessories.

The charge for shipping and tax did not appear until after I had enter my credit card information and concluded the order. This is a little confusing.
The total charge shown on the confirmation email,the packing list, and the actual charge to the credit card are all slightly different.

what really hapends was that the product that i bought wasnt in stock...but the web wasnt actualize so i thougt it was going to be here on time...so i just make a change in my product...and now is here...its a best product but with the same price (they make a discount) ...theres no problem.....and it didnt came from guitarcenter online....it came from a diferent store in washington state...but its ok now.
