Pros: cheap Cons: difficult at times
It’s been a long time since I’ve bought a book or a CD in a store. Actually, it’s been a while since I’ve bought one anywhere, but when I do think of buying something, the first place I look is Half.com. Here, average people (and a few businesses) sell ...

Pros: Price, ease of use, ease of payment Cons: Dependent on third party for delivery of goods.
I recommend Half.com for those who don't mind buying a used product in order to save a lot of money. I particularly enjoy buying used books; I'm a paperback reader and get great deals at Half.com on some of my favorite books. I also buy C.D.'s,...

Pros: Books at half price. Cons: They are used, you have to wait a couple of weeks.
The buying experiences that I have had over at half.com have been generally very good. I have purchased many different types of books at their web site in my four different uses of half.com, including a couple of cooking books, a health book, and a...

Pros: Clockwork process--list it, sell it; see it, buy it. Cons: Transactions work without a safety net for the most part; search results sometimes spurious.
I've been a member of Half.com, buying and selling for almost two years now. They're doing alright by me, perhaps I'm just lucky. I started with them way back before they were bought by eBay and were just selling used books that couldn't be listed for...

Pros: Easy navigation, excellent prices Cons: Help Support
Since originally writing this review, Half.com has become the property of Ebay.
When I found the site, I gleefully emailed all friends & relatives, "Look, here's a site where items sell for half off". Goods being CDs, books, videos and more...

Pros: Cheap, cool items for sale, reasonable shipping, easy payment, first come first serve Cons: Limited merchandise, sellers and buyers alike can get ripped off
I much prefer using half.com over eBay, simply because it's neater and less stressful. I hate the feeling of losing something I really, really wanted on eBay, all thanks to a sniper who came in at the last second and bid higher than I did.

HALF.com
Half.com is where I bought my textbooks for college this semester. Two of the books that I needed where not on the site, but the other 6 books where and the prices on the site compared to the bookstore where about 70% less (amazing). Some...

Pros: Cheap way to buy books,DVDs, etc. Cons: Shipping is high.
I am an avid user of ebay and had heard from that site and various advertisements about Half.com. I can easily get addicted to auction sites, so I have to watch myself. I finally checked out Half.com when I was looking everywhere on the internet to...

Pros: Great products at great prices Cons: You are buying from individual sellers, not an online store.
As someone who has purchased a few books from Half.com, I can honestly say that I got some great deals. Especially considering I got some points from a rewards program for doing those purchases. But if I wasn't going to get those rewards I probably would...

I thought I was going to make a million, but I'm not quite there. I joined Half.com about a month ago by posting 8 books for sale. So far, I have sold 2. While I'm not making millions, I get really excited when I receive the Half.com email "You've...

Pros: Great experiences as buyer and as a seller. Cons: none
half.com is twice the fun because I can sell books, music, electronics, sporting goods and movies that I no longer want, and I can buy the same categories of items at good prices by rated sellers. I don't have the patience nor the discipline to sell or...

Pros: wonderful prices, fun to sell stuff Cons: Navigation tricky for buyers
If Ebay is the Internet's auction house, then half.com is the Internet's swap meet. All the items listed are sold by private parties or small businesses. Prices vary according to the seller. For buyers, you have to rely on the goodwill of the seller,...

Pros: IT IS A GREAT SIGHT TO SELL YOUR THINGS AND MAKE MONEY Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PRETTY SLOW
If you have books, movies, games, etc. half.com is the place to sell them. I have sold about 200 items on the sight and have made a good amount of money. If the items are newer they sell fast. The older items can take some time to sell. I have had...
