For my new home when I needed household items like drapes, towels, lamps and a microwave cart, I decided to give JCPenney Online Store a try.

The website is easy to navigate from major categories, (Jewelry, Home, Clothing, Electronics and more), a middling good, search engine and drop-down menus helping you zero in on your interests.

Since my first order, I've received free shipping and promotion savings. It's easy to apply these discount codes, and I can often beat in-store prices.

So far everything has arrived well-packed and on-time; JCP is batting 1000 in terms of accuracy. This also means I haven't needed to return anything-a major plus.

My favorite purchase, would be the Dale Tiffany lamps.
However, one lamp I was interested in, "Magnolia", lacked a crucial height measurement, so I couldn't take a chance on guessing from the photo-or ordering.

Selection is better in some categories than others, but for my Black Hills Gold Jones, I'll still need to visit the real store, the better to savor the 30-60% off sales. On-line is my place for bed'n'bath linens and those Peacock-hued Tiffany reproduction lamps and in these niche areas you just can't beat JCPenney Online Store.

I only shop by internet occassionally and I shop at well known places. I have had a great experience each time I have shopped with JCPenney.com. I have gotten my items quicker than expected and if I need to return something I just take it to the store and no questions asked. I will definitely keep shopping online with them.

I purchased a christmas lawn ornament that was on clearence but still $70. I received it quickly but soon found I hated it. So I decided to take it back to store rather than hassle of trying to send back. It was really easy to get my money back.

Extremely slow delivery-took 12 business days during the holidays! Very high shipping costs-$17. plus $5. tax for a relatively light box of clothing(mostly neckties and tee shirts.) Huge box for minimal items, no padding-so inside items were crumpled up.Will NEVER use again.

I shop JCPenney on line often. I find the whole process from the navigation of the site, the ordering (most items are always available), the on line e-mail confirmations, the (right-on time) shipping and delivery, to customer service for questions, order changes, credits and returns to be a 5 STAR performance!

I have been shopping online with JCPenney for over a year, I have never had a problem yet. THe customer service has been wonderful, the ordering process is easy, and the shipping has always come days before I thought it would. I would have to say that when I am shopping for something I always go to penneys online first.

I just got some Maternity wear from the On-line catalog. Ordering was simple but the color and size feature was a little frustrating because every color I chose would appear in my shopping back as out of stock.

I have never had problems ordering from Penneys until I tried an online furniture purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Penneys furniture purchases online. The trucking company that delivered the furniture and then picked up the damaged furniture said Penneys is one of the worst.

Customer service is polite but nothing ever seems to get done. I ordered furniture in September...it arrived in November and was returned the same week and I have still not gotten the charges off my card in December. Every experience with Customer Service requires constant calling and calling back because they say they will investigate and a claim advisor will call you back ....but they never do.

I recently ordered a King Sheet Set on-line. I received an email confirmation of my order, stating: Solid Satin Sheet Set-King.

Then the next day, I was advised via email that, in fact, JCPenney.com was only sending me Pillowcases. They never called me to explain the error, & never gave the option to cancel & get a refund.

I wrote and called customer service; but JCPenney's response was in effect -- too bad, we're sending you pillowcases, & sorry for the misunderstanding.

I do not believe that it is fair to switch the products on
me. JCPenney.com website advertised & sold to me a King Sheet SET, not just pillowcases. I don't think it is now legal or fair that I now have to accept their day-after "correction". Note that even today, their website is still listing the item for sale as a King Sheet Set.

If JCPenney.com advertised & sold me a specific item, then JCPenney's should honor that offer of sale and send me that item. Instead, JCPenney took my money, charged me shipping, and now refuses to send me what I purchased.

JCPenny.com's handling of this matter and care-less position is completely unacceptable.

I returned items that I purchased from JCPenney on 3 separate occasions. Thank goodness I mailed the items with insurance or I would have never been reimbursed by JCPenney. On all 3 occasions, JCPenney claimed that they never received my returns and forced me to make postal insurance claims on the items. After filing the claims, the post office declared that JCPenney actually did sign for and receive the items that I returned.
JCPenney finally reimbursed my money but not after a lot of work on my part. I highly recommend that you purchase postal insurance on any JCPenney returns or you're likely to fall prey to their deceptive return policy.

I have found JCPenney.com to be one of the most user-friendly interfaces that I have ever used in terms of Shopping online. It was easy to find what I was looking for and delivery was pretty quick.

I have ordered several items from JC Penney's on-line store. I tend to order from the outlet section to find the best deals. So far, I haven't had any problems with the items that I have ordered. I love their web-site and will continue to order from it. My biggest complaint was their slowness in removing "sold-out" items from the web-site. I found an end table on their outlet section. I tried to order the first day it was offered & it was already sold out. It stayed on the web-site for a month. I assumed they planned to add more at a later date. No such thing. I sent two emails suggesting they remove any items that were no longer available. I felt it was false advertising to keep items on the web-site if it was sold out & there were no plans to add the supply. At the very least, they could offer a "rain-check" or put it on back-order for the customer. I have noticed that they are quicker to remove items now.

Very easy site to work with. Checkout was a breeze and there was a great selection of items to go through. Will shop more again.

NIGHTMARE -- DO NOT EVER ORDER ANY ITEMS THRU THIS STORE. ORDERED A CHILD'S SNOWBOARD/RECEIVED A 40 LB. UNASSEMBLED PIECE OF FURNITURE. CALLED 4 TIMES TO GET ITEM PICKED UP AND RECEIVE THE CORRECT ITEM. THEN, JC PENNEY HAD THE NERVE TO BILL ME TWICE FOR THE ORDER AND WOULD NOT REFUND THE SECOND BILLING UNTIL THEY RECEIVED BACK THEIR INCORRECT ITEM.

My shopping experience with JCPenney online is very good. Great prices, fast shipping and easy return to the any nearest store. But their customer service is the worst I've ever had experience with. I called twice about my problems and I've never been satisfied. The last one was their mistake on the order confirmation but they did not do anything about it.

My only real complaint about their on-line store is in the fact that items which are either not in stock or no longer available are still added to your bag and it is not until you attempt to complete checkout that you find out what the actual order will contain. This is particularly annoying and I have never seen this particular problem at any other shopping sites. I think the products are generally described accurately but when dealing with electronics model numbers are not often given. I am a hardcore comparison shopper so I find this less than acceptable.
