Pros: Low prices; great selection

J & R Music performed as I would expect a reputable business to perform - no more, no less. I would certainly make use of their services again, when I have need of merchandise they carry, assuming prices are competetive.

They required me to fax a copy of my credit card which is not only unusual, but it also goes against the convenience and simplicity of internet orders. I had never needed do such a thing for an internet purchase, and quite frankly it annoyed me. If they don't know how to deal with credit cards they should just use PayPal or something. Another reason why I will never order from them again is the fact that for an order that is over $400 I should not pay for [standard] shipping. The majority of merchants do have that, especially for orders above a certain dollar amount.
As for other aspects of the order I have no complaints whatsoever - the merchandise has been delivered intact and on time, I was able to track the package... all in order.

Product was ordered on 6/24/04 with free shipping. Product arrived on 7/08/04. I think 15 days is far too long to receive the product. I've oredered products from J&R previously and have never experienced this slow delivery situation. Even with free shipping, the shipping should be more expeditious.
