They got everything going for them. I always feel when purchasing on line I'm dealing with highly professional people, particaurily customer service. Their emails are very timely and they keep me well informed of the progress of my purchases. They are my first choice over all overs when checking for a product availability; and I know the price is right and reasonable. They say, check three and buy from one, they've alwasy come on top.

Everything was great except for the fact that they required me to call them after I placed the order before they would actually send it. While I understand that they were trying to ensure that there was no fraud on the credit card it unnecessarily delayed the shipment, I wonder if they are being too careful on this and hassling customers unnecessarily as a result. Other than that, so far so good.

All of the itmes I ordered were stated to be in stock at the time of the order. Several days later, I was told that one item was cancelled from my order because it is not available.
When the order (for music CDs) arrived, they were packed in a padded envlope. However, two of the CD jewel case covers were cracked due to the packing material being inadequate for the job.

Have purchased several items from J&R so was pleased to find them with the lowest price. Despite their upgrading to third day delivery, shipping/scanning label was unreadable, including my address, so UPS could not deliver. It took 3 e-mails to get J&R to respond (my standard experience with them is rotten e-mail response; they always want you to call). Package was not properly cushioned (shipping air pillow was not inflated), so two of three items broke out of their wrappings. Don't know what other damage may have occurred to the stereo unit because of rough handling by UPS and poor packing by J&R.

This was one of the easier web sites I have ever visited. The headphones were for my son in Iraq to use in the very small noisy trailers they are in. He received confirmation of the order the night the order was placed so he knows to look for it within the week.

I have done business with J&R many years ago when I lived in NYC, and have NEVER been disappointed. Their mail order/internet business is the same: Great. Kudos for the staff and management for offering great audio products at reasonable prices.
