The best in the industry

Well what can I say. MF has never let me down. Order from them and specify UPS and within minutes your confirmation will arrive via email. You can track your order from the factory ship all the way to your door. They have never let me down and I have a house filled with MF product. The problem is not with MF but with Fedx and United States Parcel Service (the highest incidents of damaged goods of any shipper in the business). Check your local Music Stores out, you will always come back to MF for your music needs. I read the negative reviews on this site and I can't comprehend what the problems are. This company is flawless. Give them a try. You will not be sorry.

I experienced poor customer support and lack of communication from MF. First I ordered some headphones and they never told me that they were out of stock. I had to wait more than a month for them to get them in, and then longer for them to actually ship. It would have been nice to get an email or a call about the delay.
Then I ordered a pick guard for a Fender Jazz Bass, and the guard that I got was completely wrong. I had to wait several months for my refund, and was just upset with myself for not going to the store and just buying the thing like I should have. Musicians Friend give online shopping a bad name.

Ive bought lots of things form them and it always take way way to long i waited on a drum set for 3 mouths my entire summer vacition form shool and they continuely lied to me i called every day and i got different storys almost every day and it never came intill about a week into school i do still shop here but just for the prices and varity of products. If u are impatient and want your stuff with in reasonable time dont order here but if you can wait then there ok but its probly best to just go somewhere else with.

I've been shopping with them for two years now, and I think they're a good store. One delivery took a little longer than expected, but mostly they arrive on time. Customer service always seemed good.
My most recent order went well, but with some quirks. They had a huge logo advertising free shipping on orders over $299, so I bought a guitar and a hardshell case. Well, they charged me $19 shipping because the guitar case is a "heavy item" which is kind of ridiculous. I can see a speaker cabinet being heavy but not a 10 lb. guitar case. Even during the holiday season, it arrived earlier than expected.
I like how this store always has the lowest prices but I don't like it is wiping out local dealers. Musician's Friend has sales sometimes that are awesome. The guitar I just bought for $350 was at my local guitar store for $530. Also, I will exclusivley buy my guitars from them because they are always new guitars and haven't been played for months on the floor of a guitar store.

This store has me confused; the online ordering is a snap but heaven forbid you make a mistake such as forgetting to enter a coupon code. Customer service is frustrating. In my experience, (which has been numerous calls), customer service is oblivious to the word 'service'. Playing stupid seems to be their motto. Their computer system is useless in tracking orders, useless in checking orders ("it doesn't show"). I got a very good price on what I bought from them (a keyboard) but I will NEVER use them again. It's not worth the frustration.

Customer service is extremely bad. Reps can be very rude. If you place a large order they treat you like you are attempting to defraud them. They would not accept my payment by credit card. I had to wire the money ($6,222,38) to them. It took them fours days and several phone calls after I placed the order to tell me how I could pay for the order. Maggie was very rude about it. Made me feel like they didn't want my business. I would have ordered from another vendor but it seemed every site I went to was connected to them. Getting the tracking info after shipment was a chore, as well. Their internet site showed my order in unknown status so I called customer service and was told they could not email me the tracking numbers because they had no email access. I was given one tracking number over the phone but it turned out it was bogus. Finally, after calling their corporate office, I was mailed he tracking numbers by a unapologetic Tom.
Save yourself a big hassle and shop elsewhere.
