If you walk a lot, I do not recommend these shoes

I ordered a pair of men's Ecosneaks from SimpleShoes.com. Ordering shoes from this website fairly straightforward, and the shoes came in about a week later (not bad), but after the purchase I received flurries of emails from distributors. This thoroughly annoyed me because they kept asking me to take a survey I had already taken.
Now for the product. I know you're not supposed to say anything mean about the environment, but I've got to put it out there: Ecosneaks are the crappiest -- that's THE crappiest -- shoes I've bought in over a decade. They hurt my feet terribly the entire time I had them. Fortunately, that wasn't too long because they promptly decomposed after 2 months. I guess they're not really made for walking. They're more like driving shoes.

Be patient...it's worth it (maybe)

The first reviewer got it right! Unfortunately, I would have been 100% satisfied with their experience.
My original order was apparently lost (by UPS). Simple Shoes made no effort to contact me/respond to my inquiry (info@simpleshoes.com), and UPS repeatedly refused to talk to me, since I wasn't the shipper.
Then, I was sent a notice saying my return had been accepted, a new pair of shoes were shipped, and my card had been charged (a second time). I finally found an email addy for the parent company, customerservice@tevasandals.com, who confirmed my card would not actually be charged twice, however made no comment to the repeated emails I sent to simple shoes that went unacknowledged. They also refused to let me change the shipping address once I realized a signature was required for delivery (icing on hte cake).
Finally, after more drama with UPS, I got my hands on the shoes.
Despite the hassle, I do like the shoes a lot. They seems sturdy, well built (as they should be for the price), and are comfy with ample room for my super-wide feet. I definitely recommend the product, but beware of ordering from the website!

i haven't heard from simple shoes and i haven't received my product either. that is very disappointing.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. I received one in a timely manner. The other never arrived. When I attempted to contact the vendor, the supplied phone number was not in service. This sale was conducted through another party catalogcity. When I contacted them by email they responded and of course told me to call the vendor with the number that failed. They said they would forward my inquiry to simple shoes, which they may have done, but I received no further information about how to contact Simple shoes from Catalog city nor did I ever hear from Simple Shoes in respnose to the allegedly forwarded email. I learned from my credit card company that I was only charged for a single pair of shoes. Apparently they're not big on telling you if something is out of stock (it was said to be in stock at the time of ordering). So, I have no criminal allegation, just crappy communication. I will not purchase directly from simple shoes again and I will not purchase through catalog city as they appear to be unwilling or unable to enforce even the most modest of customer service standards over their vendors.
