Shopping with Talbot's is fun. The operators are always pleasant and helpful. If I place an order and the item is not in stock Talbot's will give you 10 percent off the same item but in a different color. The item comes quickly and is always of great quality.

Talbots Online is a clunky service. There's always some problem with finding the "tag" on the link that I want to open. Very slow. Too bad because their merchandise is wonderful - except for some of their catalogue sale merchandise, which seems to be of less quality rather than markdowns.

I have been a Talbots customer for too many years to count. They have served me well since my size varied greatly throughout the years. Quality was outstanding. Within the past year however I've noticed that the quality/workmanship has deteriorated especially among t-shirts and layering pieces. We recently relocated and there is no Talbots store close by. I was delighted that Talbots had a website and ordered several items. The shipping/handling/tax, etc. is outrageous - a simple $30 item will cost you an additional $10 in Talbots charges. Their higher priced items are well worth the money; sale items don't seem to be the same quality. I no longer know that whatever I purchase will be "Talbots quality."

I have shopped Talbot's for years and love the quality, selection and service...until two recent incidents where I had to return something by mail and they lost two of the four items in the box(???). When I called they treated me like I was some kind of a thief and never found the attached note and receipts...how can you lose half the items in a box? Same thing happened the next time!!!! Never again!
