There are comfort foods and life-long best friends, places you go that remind you of loving warmth and fondest memories, for me that place is Sundance Catalog. The entire shopping experience was a breeze. I love the products with their “wild woman” meets “earth goddess” flair. There are great bargains to be found at Sundance Catalog, there is even a link to deals under $30. Yet when I feel like treating myself I splurge on the beautifully rustic jewelry and fine leather goods. Delivery was rapid, even though I opted for regular service, arriving on a Saturday via FedEx.

My children placed a $180.00 for Sundance jewelry for a Mother's Day present the evening of 4/26. The next morning I received a free shipping Mother's Day promotion. I asked for a $9.25 shipping credit for their hard earned money & they refused via Live Chat customer service. Disappointing. Wrote a letter as follow up. We'll see if they do anything. Most companies honor sale prices if something goes on sale the day after. My kids' error was being too efficient!

Update: 4/29 I was contacted via e-mail by a supervisor who agreed to refund the kids' $9.25 shipping but said it was a "one-time courtesy" and not to expect this ever again. We certainly realize they can't extend promotions indefinitely but they sent this Mother's Day promotion to their regular customers via e-mail to solicit a sale. We made a fairly big one (maybe not to them!!) but were a few hours too early and we receive a "favor" but a slap on the hand. I have been a regular Sundance customer for many years. I will spend my hard-earned dollars (& my kids') where it is easy and pleasant to shop on-line.

The Sundance Catalog Website looks great - but I won't EVER buy anything from them again. I have bought and returned 3 rings. The pictures look great on the site but when you get the actual merchandise - it won't be what you're expecting. The colors are off, they are not the size expected, and/or they look like gum ball rings. And then you are expected to pay shipping to and from. Just beware. I will stick to buying merchandise that I can see in person.

Sundance Catalog always seems to have interesting items but often they arrive damaged or not as pictured.  The other aspect that will keep me from ordering from them again is that if something is damaged or is the wrong size, they take weeks and weeks to process your return/refund.  This is not cool. There are so many places online to order and with many offering extremely quick returns and free shipping and superior customer options, the antiquated procedures at Sundance and the hit or miss quality puts them at the back of the crowd.  I would not recommend ordering from them.

Don't buy the jewelry.  Regardless of how good items look in the photo, they look cheap and flimsy in person.  I just received a pair of moonstone drop earrings and was very disappointed.  I am replacing the wire with my own from another pair of earrings.  The wires that came with the earrings were too thin.  The gems look fully faceted and closer to a round shape, with some heft, in the photo.  In person they are flat, light and look like faceted plastic.  I will never buy jewelry from this company again.

I have been shopping with Sundance for quite a while. I can not comment on the quality of their jewelry, but most of the clothes I have bought are of a fine quality. I never had problems with returning merchandise either. To those complaining of "exorbitant prices", wait till these clothes get on sale and they become more than affordable.

What has happened to the Sundance catalog company? Boring, common, uninspiring. Totally run of the mill and BLAH. I remember their items being unique, classy, high-end. The items offered now can be found anywhere. It's as though they've handed the reins over and lost sight of their original and unique mountain luxury theme. Too bad.

I've had two experiences. One just fine, as expected (I only ordered a purse). The other, an online shoppers Hell. Here's the Hell story. I get their catalog, browse through it and pick out a few hundred dollars of clothes. I order online, pay for shipping and second day delivery (30.00). Two days later I get some jewelry in the mail? I didn't order any ugly jewelry! I call Sundance Catalog 'service'. It seems my order was switched with someone elses. They got my clothes, I get their ugly jewelry! Okay fine, mistakes happen. All I ask is that they fix it. Woah, was I wrong. I now can expect my order in two to three weeks? And....if I wanted it sooner, I would have to reorder everything online again. But here's the clincher....some of the items are now out of stock?!
Needless to say, I cancelled my order that minute...good luck getting the jewelry back any time soon: I seem to have shipped it to Bangladesh.

I love Sundance Catalog products. I have been doing business with them for years. Their merchandise is top of the line, their customer service has always been very helpful and I appreciate their return policy. They're a great company to do business with.
