Look for other merchants if you want better customer service

I always found the prices reasonable at TigerDirect compared to other online merchants like NewEgg. But if you don't like the product or you are tring to get the rebate's its a hassle. Their customer service is not friendly or helpful, I had problems getting the invoice mailed out to me as they don't list the price on the invoice. If you are just wanting a less expensive product buy here or else find a better place.

Great Prices at a Slow Pace

Be prepared to wag the tail of the Tiger. I ordered a Harmony universal remote on November 20 and received it it nine days later. I am sure the Thanksgiving holiday contributed to the delay. However, upon receipt, I discovered, after calling a Harmony tech, that the unit was defective. Tiger instructed me that it would be faster for me to deal with Harmony directly rather than them and so, I did. December 7th is my new delivery date with a new unit being shipped from Toronto, Canada. The Tiger had a great price, but don't hold your breath when it comes to delivery speed especially if the product is defective out of the box. Seventeen days is a stretch when your charged $10.98 shipping for a package that weighs less than a pound and you have to pay additional shipping out of your own pocket to return the defective unit.

HAD SUPPORT REPS AND MANAGEMENT LYING TO AVOID PAYING REBATE
OFFER!! CLAIMED THEY WERE NOT AUTHORIZED RETAILER FOR SHARP
WHEN IN FACT THEY HAVE REBATE COUPONS ON SITE... THE REBATE COUPON I FOUND WAS AT SHARP ELECTRONICS AND IT APPEARS THAT
TIGER WAS NOT AWARE THAT ONE EXISTED WHEN THEY PRICED A MONITOR WHICH VIOLATES THE (MAP POLICY) OF SHARP... a PRICING SCHEME THAT APPEARS TO BE IN EXISTENCE AT SHARP..
BE CAREFUL IT MAY REFLECT HOW THEY HANDLE OTHER SITUATIONS REGARDING SALES WARRANTY ETC...
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THESE TIGER SHARKS AGAIN AND PLAN TO CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENT PARTIES INVOLVED (IE: STATE ATTY GENERALS)

I recently bought a Lexar MP3 Jump drive player from TigerDirect.ca and when I purchased it it was in stock, The next day I had a change of mind and decided not to buy it and phoned Tigerdirect to cancel my order, I was told that the Jump drive part of the MP3 player had already been shipped but the MP3 part of the player was on back order...Even though it was "In Stock" when I ordered it, Here I was thinking they aren't going to bill my credit card until the whole order was complete...Wrong!!!
Well what could I do, The person on the phone had said that it would cost me a 15% restocking fee to send it back plus shipping.
I had a change of mind on this product because it doesn't come with any accessories...Like an arm strap or carry case like a cheaper player has, Also there isn't an alternative power source option like an A/C adapter.
So I guess I'll have to carry this thing around like a purse when I get it.

Before you order, check the rebate. If it directs you to go to another site to fill it out -- specifically www.onrebate.com -- don't get it. That site is run by them, and it does not exist.

I bought a bare-bones kit that they never tested and after three weeks of getting the run-around, I had to send the whole thing back. The customer service is bad and I was lied to on many occasions. They also made me call the manufacturer long distance for a problem that they were responsible for. Tiger Direct has bought out Global Computers, so be aware.

Tracking problems

Tiger Direct is okay. I have found problems with getting tracking info from their web site. Like now, I ordered something thru them last week and still no tracking info. I thought maybe my items hadnt shipped yet so I called them and they gave me the tracking info over the phone. I looked it up thru UPS and sure enough, it had been sent on time.
As far as theyre rebates, they do offer alot of them and it takes forever to recieve them but I guess thats the manufacturers fault.
Overall, theyre good to deal with.

i just received my order from tiger direct, it was a barebones sysem at a good price. purchasing and ordering was
easy enough. when it arrived it was missing the keyboard, mouse and speakers
i called tiger direct after i realized they where missing, i only had to wait on hold for about 30 minutes. after talking to the service rep. i was informed i needed to contact the manuf. to find out why i didnt receive the other merchadise that was supposedly in the package price.
i personally dont fill that i just have to do this, tigerdirect is who i bought from, they should call and find out what happened. anyway they did say i could turn around and send it back and they would order me another one but couldnt guarntee it wouldnt happen again. so, i will not buy from tiger direct again and anyone planning on doing so, beware, good prices doesnt mean good service.....

Worst company to purchase from

W5809553 This is my order number so everything can be verified. I order a computer system for my girl frien for valentins day 09. Onling transaction went smoothly, but after that it all went downhill. I was to now send in via email copies of my credit card, driver license and utility bill even though I paid with my visa debit card. I told them I did not feel confortable sending via email, unsecure that information. they said everybody does it. Well I had to cancel the order because I know better that to send this information in this manner. These people are very callious. I am not going to do business whit them in the future. Aslo it took 37 minuets and 3+ people to get to someone who could help me. I waited less time at Walmart to get checked out and for more $$$$ on my card.

TigerDirect has a great selection and I've noticed they do match other companies when it comes to special offers and promotions. Unfortunately they also do a good job at frustrating you. Delivery speed is bad for first time customers. Their "Buy Today, Ships Today" promise doesn't apply since it takes a few days to verify you. Customer service is also bad. I also decided I would not want to bother with them again but have been having a hard time getting the catalogs to stop coming. I can't talk to their customer support or sales reps about it and their online catalog removal service tells me to wait for a tone before giving the customer number and then immediately chastises me for not leaving a proper message (no tone either). It has been nothing but frustration and I wish I hadn't seen the good deal that originally got me involved with these people.

Nightmare - simply a Catch 22 nightmare

Somehow the address on my invoice and shipping label on a recent order was incorrect - UPS got the package got to me, the credit card company processed the charge, but because the address is incorrect on the invoice I can't get a rebate. Somehow the error was in the 4 orders I had with Tiger Direct, but never had a problem with obtaining my rebates. Now it has become an issue. Mike, a Tiger Direct call center supervisor, said that there is no way to fix this problem and if the customer makes any kind error then they won't do anything to help. So because of this I ended up spending $80 for a product advertised for $10. Fry's is so much better to deal with Tiger Direct. We all make mistakes, but at Tiger Direct you are the one who has to pay the consequences.
I wouldn't deal with Tiger Direct again and wouldn't recommend any else do.

Speedy Purchase, VERY poor return/exchange service

Recently bought a lot of components from TigerDirect, and received them within the week. The only problem was that one of the pieces (motherboard) was defective and was verified defective by the manufacturer. I was told to return the motherboard and only the motherboard by a rep at TigerDirect, so i did just that. I was then charged a restocking fee for not including what I was told not to include. After a few arguments I was able to get the $30 refunded, and I was told that it was a mistake, they would refund my motherboard's cost ($200), and that we were even. To this date I haven't received my refund, and in fact they sent me a new board (after more complaining) and charged me for it. NOW they tell me that they don't have my returned board and I need to return it in its original packaging to receive the refund...but I don't have the board either, and I'm down $200. TigerDirect expect a lawsuit soon!

Tiger Direct lies.
Tiger Direct Online Store offered the pioneer dvd burner DVR-A08XLC (silver) with two rebates which made it a good deal.
BUT, Even though my records are complete, and show clearly that I conformed in every way to get both rebates, they denied the second of two $30 rebates when Pioneer wouldn't honor "two rebates on one burner at one home add". The lame excuse T.D. gave was my documentation could possibly have been altered... read: The customer is a lier.
They need to go out of business.
I'll take _MY_ business ANYWHERE else and probably save money!

I HATE the rebate process! It's tedious, overcomplicated and it takes 8-10 weeks for payment. I feel like I was tricked into this rebate. Had I known, as I do now, I won't buy anything with a rebate from Tiger again. In fact, I'll probably not buy from them again.

TD service was fast and wonderful, although UPS shipping was not updated frmo departure to arrival. Service came two days earlier thane xpected as well. Difficulty with product - was unable to screw in 2 of the 6 fitting screws to hold the HS into base, wa sunable to line up holes in drive with holes in casing. Hoping for best, although quality seems to have been affected - drive doesn't always respond to on/off switch
