Buyer Beware!

I called to ask if they were aware that their shipping charges are understated on shopping.com and they told me they have been trying to get deal time to correct this problem for over a year.
I find this hard to believe and misleading. Obviously from other reviews us appliance knows this is a problem.
I do not believe in doing business with a company that is not honest upfront. How can you expect them to be there when there is a problem in the future.
I asked dealtime and they told me that any company can change their information in 24 hours or less. It sounds like US appliance is trying to slip one past us. Watch for your shipping cost on checkout. It could be higher than what they advertise and they will not honor the lower price.
Also, one of the items I was interested in purchasing form them was a Thermador oven that they had priced lower than everyone. I noticed that in the checkout cart it was a different and not as good oven. Be careful with this company.

Misleading inventory and shipping information

Ordered item that was "in stock." Credit card charged immediately. 10 days went by and no email notice of shipping. Called, told item would be shipped the next day. 2 days later, no email notice of shipping. Called again, told item would ship the next day. 2 days later, no email notice of shipping. Called 2-3 days later, told item would ship that day. Requested refund, saw no reason to wait any longer or trust them any further. Charged 15% restocking fee. Not happy about paying restocking fee based on delays and misleading information, but happy to discontinue my business with this company.
Speed of delivery: terrible
Order accuracy: OK on the invoice listing, declined delivery
Customer service: misleading but courteous
Overall satisfaction: poor

I was very skeptical about buying a 46" plasma TV from a website. US Appliance had a very good deal on a Panasonic TH-46PZ850U HDTV with free shipping. I received e-mail confirmation shortly after placing my order on Jan 30, '09. On Monday Feb 2, I received a call from US Appliance to schedule delivery for Wed. Feb 4. I called US App. Wednesday morning (8 am) as instructed to get an approximate time of delivery and was told it would be between noon and 6pm. Delivery guy called shortly thereafter and said he would be there within 1/2 hour. Delivery guy decided to rearrange schedule and made me the first stop instead of last for the day. Lucky me! As outdoor termperature was 10 degrees and the set was very cold to the touch after removing top box cover, I examined it with a flashlight for cracks in the glass and case, but did not power it up. All looked good so I signed for it. US Appliance made me a believer regarding making big purchases online!

My wife and I bought a Fischer & Paykel washer and dryer from US Appliance. We saved over $125, roughly 10% by buying online. The products were delivered within 2-3 weeks without a problem. We are very satisfied with the savings and the service received from US Appliance.

Among my worse online experiences. Took a long time to ship (should have been up to 3 weeks, which is long anyway and ended up being 4,5) and another 4,5 weeks to be delivered. The delivery company is extremely slow and act as if they are doing you a favor. It is true, the your card is charged (way) before they ship the article. I never got an official confirmation when my purchase was shipped and had to inquire periodically. There was no communication on their part whatsoever.
Price of the article was good, but I ended up seeing lower prices in the 2 months while I was waiting for the delivery. The product works though and I felt relieved and happy to receive it in good condition after reading the reviews. Would not purchase again. Overall, a bad retailer teamed up with a bad delivery company.

Item ordered was completely accurate. Howard answered all of my questions completely and assured me I was welcome to call for any reason. He was extremely helpful, thorough and personable. Item was delivered within 2 weeks as promised. Delivery company had excellent communication and conscientious, careful delivery of my refrigerator. A Very satisfied.

We placed a large order (over $3000) for two appliances. They gave us a delivery date which came and went. We called, one item on backorder was the reply. So send us our one appliance that is in stock. Many calls and broken promises later the thing finally came, falling out of the box, dented. YES DENTED! I heard nightmarish stories about this company so I decided to put the dented cooktop in my newly renovated kitchen rather than have a heart attack. There was no way I was going to pay a %15 restocking fee and send the thing back and go thru this all over again.
You get my drift.

US-Appliance has a nice website, but they overcharge you for shipping compared to what they state in the comparison website.
Do not know if this is an attempt to get more money out of the consumer or an oversight on their part, but hopefully they will correct it.
Ended up buying the dishwasher from another website. US-Appliance emailed me that this was their new shipping charge and they have been trying to get Dealtime to update the shipping information for a year now. Find this hard to believe. Sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one on consumers that do not look at the shipping charges.

Warning do not trust these people. I ordered two major appliances from them and was told that I would have them in two weeks. After hounding them for three additional weeks (after the initial two weeks) concerning the delivery of my items I finally cancelled may order.

Good Prices - Poor Service

I ordered several appliances almost two months ago. Their website says 3-4 weeks for delivery of professional appliances. Four weeks went by before I called and was told they still didn't have part of the order, but they would ship what they did have. So I received part of my order, but it's been almost two months now and I still have no idea when my other two appliances will arrive. I am a little frustrated. Maybe they would be o.k. if you ordered regular appliances that they have in their warehouse, but when I purchased from them they promoted a quick turn around time. Two months plus is not great service in my book. If items needed to be back ordered, they should have told me that at the time of purchase, not a month after I already paid them. I would not order from this company again.

I purchased a Sony Bravia KDL52W4100, a 52" HDTV. With the free shipping offered, US Apppliance had the best price on the net. After several days I get a call from them stating that "oops, sorry but we don't have that TV in stock. We thought we would get another shipment but Sony is not shipping anymore of that model. (The dealer that I bought from said that was an outright lie) US Appliance then kept my money tied up for several days before it was credited back to my account. It cost me $163 xtra & a lot of time to buy the unit someplace else. They KNEW the TV was out of stock and should have told me when I ordered it. STAY AWAY from them!!!

Ordered new GE Refrigerator and Microwave and a Kitchen Aide Dishwasher. I could not be happier. Got a great price. No delivery or sales tax charges. I saved hundreds. Delivery was as expected with no problems. They actually said it would take three weeks and I received them in two. All in all, a very good experience with US Appliance.

I ordered a camera and they didn't even have it stock. They charged my card two hour's after the purchase, 10 day's later I call only to find out they do not have it in stock and wouldn't have one for two more week's.
My wife called to complain and was told "well mam we can put a rush on your order seeing as you are all hot to trot for you order". WTF!?!
Needless to say I called and told the guy off and demanded a full and immediate refund.
I will never trust this company again!

I found a Kitchenaid refrigerator through Number 1 Appliance for $1311.00. When I inquired about the same refrigerator through US Appliance, because of their 110% match guarantee...they said they would sell me that refrigerator for $1308. I think they need to hire people that knows some math. Of course when I brought it to there attention, they never emailed back,,I think this could be considered as False Advertisement. I will be buying my refrigerator through Number 1 Appliance.

I ordered a whole kitchen full of appliances from US Appliance. When my installer opened the carton of the cooktop, he found the glass top was shattered. There was no appairent damage to the carton. US Appliance informed me there was nothing they could do because I called more than 48 hours after receiving the shipment. So much for customer service.... I canceled an additional order I had placed with them. I'll never purchase from them again.

suggestion. when trying to track the order through pilot, the tracking # is not available on any information i received from US appliance, had to call pilot for the tracking #. needs a software update to the order tracking system whereby when you click on order tracking, the tracking # is provided. Regardless, I will definitely use and recommend US Appliance in the future.

I think that the group a US Appliance did a good job of processing my order and getting it picked up by the carrier. At that point, it became a complete nightmare. R L Carriers was the most disorganized and unreliable carrier that I have ever dealt with. They told me that my package would be delivered on a Friday afternoon. So I took off of work. After the delivery time passed, I was told that my package never even made it to my city. They could have called/emailed me to tell me that so that I wouldn't have had to miss work. Even their online tracking tool said that it was on time. Then they told me it would be delivered that night. No one showed up. I called again and they told me that it would be Monday. They said that the evening delivery was never even put in their system. I had to take additional time off of work to accept the package that Monday. I will never order from US Appliance unless they use a different carrier.

Outstanding customer service. Product delivered with a damaged container and a slight dent on one door. A single call to the company resulted in a new door ordered and a set up service call from a GE authorized repair dealer. No other actions required on my part. That level of service is really, really, rare these days
