Walmart.com

It seems that every time Walmart builds a new store in my area within 6 weeks of opening the store looks rundown and old making me want to stay away. I am not sure if this is due to the customers or if it is just the cheap materials that are used to build Walmart. It is odd as a competitor of Walmart can come into the same area and the store looks just as new in six weeks or months as it did when it was built. Bottom line, Walmart needs to clean up or close up...

This is the first time I jumped into the HDTV bandwagon, and I was'nt sure what progressive scan was all about & why it was so important to have, especially when owning an HDTV set. Well, I learned the hard way by purchasing a dvd player without progressive scan, and the picture quality was terrible. So, I decided to purchase a progressive scan model that was cheap enough to take my chances on, and the RCA was the cheapest model I could find, with the most features. After I hooked it all up, I could immediately see the difference in picture quality, and the features such as chapter memory for up to 3 dvd's meant that I could turn off the player in the middle of a movie, and start back from where I left off when I came back to watch the rest! Very cool. THIS IS BY FAR, THE BEST HIGH-QUALITY PLAYER FOR THE MONEY!

Good points:

1) More economical than netflix at 3 title-out
2) Has acceptable selections, as you would typically expect at video stores - although netflix has better selections
3) 5 distribution centers around the country - items returned are accepted within 2 days from Milpitas, CA

Bad points:
1) When they say an item has been "shipped", it takes up to 5 days to arrive. The shortest wait is 2 days, and the majority 4-6 days to arrive.

Never have in stock what you order. Don't buy from them unless you like waiting for something that will never arrive. Website is never updated so information that they have in stock is not correct.

Three attempts at fulfillment resulted in an order being cancelled, an site to store item not being found, and a 6 AM call to wake me up and make an insulting offer.

NEVER, EVER, EVER do business with these lying thieves.

I will never do business with them, and everyone with any self respect should avoid them at all cost. They will take your money, give you no respect, and waste your time. DON'T DO IT!!!

Wal-mart site to store is pathetic, ordered 2 items and 1 came broken, the other one was lost in the store somehow, i don't know how you lose a 200lb item but they managed to do so.
Oh and by the way it took a month to not get the second item the one that they lost.

Walmart.com is a pathetic excuse for an online store. I ordered a $1000 TV from the site, the order was confirmed, shipping was guaranteed by the Christmas, and a $1000 hold on my debit card for the purchase price. Hours later, my order was canceled with no explanation or apology, and when I went back to the site the TV was listed as out of stock. The $1000 hold placed on my account was not released for nearly a week. Not only that, but when I used the 'find in a store' feature, it was obvious that many of the store addresses were incorrect (Google maps was able to find the real addresses) and while the item was listed as in stock at 6 different stores, all but one I learned were actually OUT OF STOCK when I called the store. Walmart will never be competitive in the digital age unless they learn to show their customers enough respect to NOT falsely advertise, and to NOT hold customers' money hostage.
