I ordered a case of wine. 2 of the items (5 bottles total) could not be shipped due to inaccurate inventory. I had to call to find out what ws going on. Customer service did everything within their means to make it right, but in the end could not obtain inventory.
The web site pointed to an inactive e-mail address for Customer Service. I had to inform them of that.
Once the remaining smaller order shipped, their web site pointed to UPS for order tracking. It turns out they switched to FedEx. I had to call to find out about THAT, too, and missed the first delivery attempt because I could not find out the shipping details soon enough. Supposedly, the web site will be fixed soon.
Summary: The on-phone customer service people are very good. The web site was recently redisigned and has some glitches. Wine.com's inventory system has been lacking for some time. This is not the first inventory-related problem I have had with them. I've been a customer of theirs for about 5 years. They should have these things worked out by now. I don't know how often I will order from them in the future, given the unpredictability of them to be able to deliver the product in a timely fashion, or even at all. It's too bad, because they ar a good group of people and they are very easy to deal with. Someone at the top needs a wake-up call: Order execution is everything, and they don't execute well often enough.
One survey question is "Would you purchase from this merchant again." I only have a Yes/No option. I answered Yes, but truthfully, I don't know. It won't be soon.

Wine.com is great. It's the Fedex delivey that couldn't come at a convenient time to suffice a normal working person's schedule that made it bad.

There was a good selection and I sent a bottle of wine as a gift to someone. I don't appreciate, wine.com's "spamming" me with emails now that I made one purchase with them.
