Thus far, Wine.com has without a doubt been the WORST experience I have had shopping online. I submitted an order December 21st. Right at the top of their site, they had a counter showing the time left to order with express shipping for December 24th delivery. (which showed about 8 or 9 hours at the time of my order) Their advertising of their ability to get it there by Dec 24th was the entire reason I decided to go with them. It's now December 24th, and the order has not even been "processed", let alone arrived. I have heard NOTHING from them by email or phone. I tried to call them and their customer service line is closed.
DO NOT SHOP AT WINE.COM. You may get lucky and they might actually send your order, or you will have the terrible experience that I have had.
Delivery is very slow, markup on products is obscene, shipping is very high and customer service is terrible. I ordered a New Year's celebration package from them recently with guaranteed delivery by 12/31. Since this was a gift for a friend's New Year's party I was very disappointed when it didn't arrive until 4 days after New Year's. Called customer service to complain and instead of empathizing or apologizing they were unconcerned and incompetent. They did not offer to correct the situation and would not give any kind of refund.
There are better companies out there with better prices and good customer service. I'll stay away from Wine.com in the future.

I have had substantial difficulty with wine.com. While they sent me a promotion of $10 off and it appeared to be credited when making my purchase, they overcharged my credit card and have been completely unresponsive to my pleas to make the adjustment. If using a coupon, BEWARE.

I called in the order to ensure the items were in stock and I would receive them before Christmas. I placed an order of over $1000.00 and followed the shipping progress online. Nothing was being shipped on time.
I called customer service who had to transfer me....after a long wait, I was told that two bottles of port were out of stock but they were unable to remove them from the order (in the computer system). They would try and get in touch with the warehouse and straighten things out. They took my number and promised to call back.
There was no return call.
I once again called customer service -- only this time I asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course, there was nobody available, and the warehouse was evidently not answering their phone. I asked for the warehouse's direct number and I was told - they could not give out that number.
This is customer service at its worst...There are too many other online companies that are willing to provide good
customer service. Shop somewhere else

Absolutely the worst buying experience I have ever had. This is the first online review I have written as I have never felt more compelled to write one. I joined a wineclub and experienced missed shipments, terrible customer service, and very poor wine. I decided to cancel after 5 months. Then I did not receive a refund for the remaining months. I called 6 months later, waited for over 45 minutes for customer service (you call customer service then have to go over to corporate) to get a refund. I then get two emails weeks apart for different amounts of refunds being confirmed. Only, they never credited my credit card. I call back a month later, wait another 30 minutes for customer service, then they tell me they don't know what happened and they say they will try to credit my card again... only that I need to check my statement and call them again in a few days to see if it went through.... unbelievable... I wish I could get a complete refund as the wines I got from them are terrible as well (Can be found at local stores for much cheaper).
I always find the price, selection and service at wine.com to be exceptional. I order from them regularly and recommend them without reservation. Read more
