I tried Wine.com because there was a free shipping promo and would happily shop there again as long as I didn't have to pay for shipping (or it was a very low cost). Free (or very low) shipping is one of the driving factors for most of my on-line pruchases.

I like Wine.com. I may buy from them again but there are 2 recurring problems with them.
1-They are really slow to get their product out of their ware house. I ordered from a competitor of wine.com at the same time as my last wine.com order. The 5 cases of wine from their competitor was in my posession 3 days befor it left wine.coms warehouse.
2- It is impossibel to get in contact with them. They refuse to give you access to a live person

I was dissapointed that the gift certificate I purchased for a birthday gift couldn't be sent immediately by email, as is done by almost all online retailers.
I will not buy another gift certificate from Wine.com until it can be delivered online.

Excellent experience. Had a 10% coupon, but free shipping ($0.1) was offered the next day. I would have liked the free shipping option, would have saved a couple of bucks, to automatically have occured. Didn't bother to call since it was only a couple of bucks.
