I totally regret ordering from blindsgalore.com. I wish I had remembered to check epinions.com BEFORE I ordered. What a nightmare - and I thought I researched it. The sales staff is of course eager to help you and the site is very user friendly and easy to navigate, BUT turn-around time and the customer service department is deplorable. I am currently on hold and it's been an hour! My blinds are 6 weeks late and many lies have passed the lips of the customer service dept. I wish I knew a way to force them to cancel my order.
Placed order in March, 2004 and still have not received item. Have tried to call customer service and have been on hold for 60 minutes, three separate times. I never was able to reach anyone. I called my credit card company and will file dispute with them in order to get my money credited.
Horrible experience. I received an order confirmation and they charged me for my blinds. Then I didn't hear back from them. They don't answer the telephone, nor does the email on the website work. So I faxed them a letter, still no response. So I mailed them a letter, again, no response. I finally had to contact the BBB and they forwarded me a letter telling me to contact my credit card company to get my money back.
Looks like we have been scammed. We initially purchased 1 $60 blind in the beginning of March that came within 3 weeks, no problems what so ever. Since the transaction went smoothly we decided to furnish our entire new home ($1,500) with the same wood Hunter Douglas blinds through blinds galore. Price comparing no one could beat their price. Now, April 27 we still have not gotten our blinds and cannot get a hold of anyone as others were saying. I phoned Hunter Douglas and their rep said they could not contact them either to confirm any orders. HD thinks they must be going out of business. I called the Federal Trade Commission who took my complaint and said it sounds very concerning since there is no way to get a hold of the company. They recommended contacting our credit card company since you have 60 days to dispute the transaction. FYI for others in this situation. The FTC said you have 60 days to get your money back so call your credit card company soon if needed.
I have ordered my blinds with them on 7th of April and so far no news. No way to contact them, their phone doesn't work, no response from email, website doesn't show the order status. It was scary, then i called my credit card company and they said they will try to get my money back if i dont get the merchendise. The worst part is my house is new, so no blinds and now i cant order new one's till 60 days because if i get my blinds from them later then i cant get my money back. It sucks.
