If you have problems with blindsgalore.com, I would suggest that you file a complaint with the California Attorney General's office. Go to www.at.ca.gov and look for the complaint form. I am going to file a complaint with them and the BBB this weekend ...

Don't order from here

I ordered 3 blinds from Blindsgalore for a total of $401 on Sept. 3 and they said the estimated shipping date would be Sept. 12. I then received 3 other backorder notices with new shipping dates Sept. 28, then Oct. 5, then Oct. 12! After the third notice I decided to get my money back and called customer service. First customer service had to call the manufacturer to make sure they hadn't shipped it yet (of course not, because they just sent me another backorder notice). The next day, customer service called me back and said they were refunding my money. In about 2 weeks the refund showed up on my credit card.
By the way, I ordered the same 3 blinds at BlindsChalet for $315 ($86 cheaper and free shipping) and they arrived 2 weeks later. No backorder issues. They look great!

My experience is pretty much the same as others. No service and the blinds came in the wrong color. I found a place called Blindshopping.com and had a wonderful experience with them. On time delivery and good pricing.

THE BLACK HOLE OF WINDOW BLINDS!

Orders go in but they don't come out. Lost $185 down this black hole. No way to contact the company, either by phone or e-mail. Calling only produces a pre-recorded message and nothing more.
I have written the BBB (San Diego office) and will probably file with the CA Attorney General as another reviewer suggested. Seriously, AVOID BLINDSGALORE.COM at all costs! You have been warned! I think they also do business as ezblinds.com or something very similar.
UPDATE 6/16/04: I received a response from the BBB. Here is what they wrote:

I've had the same problem as all the people listed here. I contacted the manufacturer of the Bali cellular shades I ordered and the fellow on the phone informed me that Blinds Galore was being bought out. He had my order, but it had not been processed. I cancelled it with him and contacted my credit card company who reversed the charge on my account. Next, I contacted American Blinds who matched the price of Blinds Galore plus gave an additional $40 off of my order. I received my cellular shades within 1 1/2 weeks via Fed Ex. Go American Blinds!!

I know all the experiences everyone is talking about.
As a matter of fact, I placed an order on March 5th, same thing...No Order...No refund...Cancelled credit card charge.
THEY MUST BE OUT OF BUSINESS>>>>>
and I say that because That is my third order in a matter of 1 year and the two other experiences have been absolutely wonderful, very friendly and responsive customer service, so unless they're out of business, that couldn't have happened.
Before this last experience, I could have sweared by their friendliness and cheap prices....
THEY MUST BE OUT OF BUSINESS....
IT DOES NOT TAKE 2 MONTHS TO "UPGRADE THE SYSTEM"

Horrible experience. I received an order confirmation and they charged me for my blinds. Then I didn't hear back from them. They don't answer the telephone, nor does the email on the website work. So I faxed them a letter, still no response. So I mailed them a letter, again, no response. I finally had to contact the BBB and they forwarded me a letter telling me to contact my credit card company to get my money back.

I have ordered my blinds with them on 7th of April and so far no news. No way to contact them, their phone doesn't work, no response from email, website doesn't show the order status. It was scary, then i called my credit card company and they said they will try to get my money back if i dont get the merchendise. The worst part is my house is new, so no blinds and now i cant order new one's till 60 days because if i get my blinds from them later then i cant get my money back. It sucks.

Has this company closed down? I have had a similar experience where I ordered blinds back in March & to this date have not received them. My Visa was also charged. I'm unable to track any info on the Blinds Galore website & I can't get through to anyone over the phone & not getting any response by email either. I am thoroughly disgusted with the customer service of this company, their phone recording says they are in process of upgrading their system or something to that effect and then disconnects. Like others who have posted here, I wish I would have seen these reviews before ordering, I sure wouldn't have placed an order with them. If anyone gets any kind of results please post them.

Made a purchase with blindsgalore.com on 3-30. We received two of the 6 blinds we ordered right away, but that was it. Nearly a month later and there is still no sign of the rest of the order. We had a similar experience where the order was showing up on their tracking system and then about a week ago it dropped off. No UPS tracking info was ever available. Trying to call them and they are still "Updating their system." VERY suspicious after two and a half weeks!!!! Our only chance is to dispute the charges through our bank.
We have had several great experiences with Blinds Galore before, but I would stay very far away from them for now!

Scammed for $1,500!

Looks like we have been scammed. We initially purchased 1 $60 blind in the beginning of March that came within 3 weeks, no problems what so ever. Since the transaction went smoothly we decided to furnish our entire new home ($1,500) with the same wood Hunter Douglas blinds through blinds galore. Price comparing no one could beat their price. Now, April 27 we still have not gotten our blinds and cannot get a hold of anyone as others were saying. I phoned Hunter Douglas and their rep said they could not contact them either to confirm any orders. HD thinks they must be going out of business. I called the Federal Trade Commission who took my complaint and said it sounds very concerning since there is no way to get a hold of the company. They recommended contacting our credit card company since you have 60 days to dispute the transaction. FYI for others in this situation. The FTC said you have 60 days to get your money back so call your credit card company soon if needed.

I totally regret ordering from blindsgalore.com. I wish I had remembered to check epinions.com BEFORE I ordered. What a nightmare - and I thought I researched it. The sales staff is of course eager to help you and the site is very user friendly and easy to navigate, BUT turn-around time and the customer service department is deplorable. I am currently on hold and it's been an hour! My blinds are 6 weeks late and many lies have passed the lips of the customer service dept. I wish I knew a way to force them to cancel my order.

Customer Service was great! They were very helpful in ordering the correct product and shipped on time. One was damaged in shipment and they sent me a new one without any argument - Too good to be true!!! I'm ordering more now.
