Read the initial survey. The on-line process, telephone contact, and service was so poor / difficult that I cancelled the order and will only consider future business when a significant discount is involved.

The shopping experience on the Internet was very enjoyable. The subsequent phone order was fulfilled very professionally and all my questions were answered without any followup phone calls. This is highly appreciated. As for the product purchased I am very happy with it. I only wish there was a means on your Survey e-mail to contact manufacturers of equipment purchased so that they could receive individuals comments and suggestions ie. I have an Idea and have performed some basic experimentation that could possibly be introduced into a product that could be highly beneficial to Humminbird.

Using people in INDIA to handle all customer support is a nightmare. They do not speak U.S. kind of English. They consistently misunderstand the situation. For instance, they said my VISA card was denied. I called my VISA customer support and THEY SAID no one had even tried to make a charge on the card. This all went on for four days before it got straightened out. It was only fixed after I requested cancellation of the order. FRUSTRATING times 1000!!!!!!!

I am dissapointed with boaters world, when I ordered,(2 day s&h at $19.95) I was mislead on the delivery date, so I called and cancelled the order before it was even processed and I was told it would be cancelled at that time, within the next 24hours I recieved a shipping notice that it had been shipped out(boaters world error). However, when returned boaters world gladly refunded the amount of the shirts but I was still charged s&h and I originally cancelled the order before it was even processed let alone shipped out. Needless to say, the shirts were late and I still had to pay $19.95 for nothing, I was told by phone a full refund would be credited and I was not. I will not order from boaters world online again. Thank you.

I received an e-mail requesting I call customer service in regards to my
order. It said it could not be processed because of invaild credit card or
expiration date, incorrect billing or shipping address, or did not use
international checkout which was not required. My e-mail confirmations
showed no errors of any kind. In asking the customer service rep of the
problem he insisted I provide him with unnecessary info about my credit
card such as 800 #'s. When I refused he hung up on me. I called back and
spoke to another rep to find out my order had been canceled. He took my
original order # and confirmed no errors with the cedit card or addresses
in the original order. He resubmitted the order (#649478) and
it was filled correctly. With all the credit card fraud
there is I will not give unnecessary info to someone over the phone when
it is correct on a supposedly secure web site. I also do not like being
hung up on by a rude customer service rep. when anwsering the companies
request to call.

I had a great deal of difficulty understanding the sales clerk on the phone. It would have been easier if I had been able to speak to someone with a better command of the English language.

Ladder was sent FedEx. I received the carton (banged up) but there was no merchandise inside. I called Boaters World and was told I would hear back in 2 or 3 days. I did not receive a callback and called again after 3 days. A diefferent person told me it would be 7 to 10 days before we heard anything from FedEx. I never received an apology during either call from Boaters World nor did they offer an alternative until I pressed the situation. Although this was entirely the fault of FedEx, BoatersWorld could have and should have done more to ease the pain or this experience. I opted for a refund and bought the ladder somewhere else.

Customer service is horrible! I was charged the wrong price and had to make 2 phone calls and 1 email to get it reversed. I never received a response from my email on the issue even though I asked to be contacted.
The products are good but I would only purchase again if it was done by phone NOT through the internet.

I was contacted by an Indian Customer Service Center which instructed me to call due to a question about a credit card. After calling THREE times long distance from a European cell phone, I was put on hold for more than 10 minutes each time after getting a different voice on the phone who seemed to be genuinely confused. I was so un-nerved by the process I hung up, $20 cell phone charges later and no product ! I will not ever recommend using this web site and will shop elsewhere. The service was totally unacceptable.

I liked the products I ordered but the people at the other end of the customer service phone line (help/service desk) knew nothing about the products, spoke and understood English poorly and were generally not helpful at all. If you know precisely what you want and don't need customer service support, this wouldn't be a bad way to go.
If you need product info, save your time - contact the manufacturer directly (as I was advised to do). Ugggh. What's happened to customer service in this country?

BoatersWorld is a good place for in store shopping. Recently, our second attempt, we attempted to purchase sandals for our kids and a pair of ladies sandals. We paid for the rapid shipping. Both times the childrens sandals were no longer available and the adult sandals were shipped late and we had already left for our vacation. We were notified too late of non availability and no call to notify us of non availability. We came to know after we ariived back home and we were not available to recive the shipment so it was sent back by the shipper. This has occurred twice.
