Buy.com website and product variety are excellent. Pricing for the items I have purchased are good. Overall outstanding as to ease of ordering, tracking and receipt of purchases. However, should there be a problem there is no customer service per se. It appears there is no effort on their part to resolve anything. It takes constant persistence on the customers part to get a result. Talking to their customer service in India or another country is ridiculous as they can be difficult to understand and in reality once again do not know anything or can resolve anything. It is a total waste and could ultimately cost Buy.com a lot of customers. I also hear this complaint from a lot of other people. It's a shame. Read more

I purchased 6 items from this merchant within two months. One of their shipping partners got my address wrong with one of these items. I eventually got my product. But it already past the deadline for mail-in rebate. I wrote to them and informed them about the mistake. They replied to me the next day, and, within three days, issued me a credit equal to the rebate amount. I am impressed with their prompt reply. I will shop from this merchant again. Read more

I shop with buy.com for all my books. This past order was for two books: The Namesake, and The Lovely Bones.
The Lovely Bones book had ripped pages - as though it got caught in a machine or something. I've kept it only because it would be too much of a hassle to return it (which I'd probably have to pay for return postage, etc). Read more
